Teenager warning: may annoy parents,
By Robert j. whitaker (wilmington, de United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Teen Comedy Party 2000 (Audio CD)
With forty cuts on the album, an ungrade from the much earlier vynal release, b TEEN COMEDY PARTY manages to crack laughs out of most of them. From an interview with a drug addled and recovering Alvin the chipmunk, in a "where are they now?" segment to a loopy "At the Record Store" segment, manage to stay consistantly funny. The album could be called "punk Monty Python" for its sheer brashness. Some of the segments are dated, but the humor is not, to wit: "The Earth Mother News" a folksy number on a "build it yourself nuclear reactor." It would be a good listen in an overly long car drive; some of the material is about radio. A good album. I finished it wishing for more.

i originally bought this for the track of theirs i had heard dr demento play on a couple of his albums rock and roll docter. actually i bought it to see what else they had to offer. rock and roll docter is pretty good and by the time i found out they had updated it for the millinium almost a decade had gone by. one day on a whim i looked on the internet expecting it to be out of print again and was surprised to find it on amazon.rock and roll docter is not the only good thing here. theres also the the love talk radio spots with the know nothing idiot dr adodis. the hollywood squares routine was good too. so were the rock achives sketches about whatever happened to alvin and the chipmunks. the whole album is excellent and i snached it up the the minute i found out it was still in print. thanks amazon.
