5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it
I used this bible throughout my young teen years and it was fantastic! It definitely relates to common trials in this time of your life and adds great color and flair to make bible study more fun. All in all, I loved it.

If you're a Christian parent that wishes to pass your religion onto your kids, my story's worth reading. This review is from: Teen Study Bible (New International Version) (Paperback)
I bought this for my friend teenager and she loves it, Now she can understand on a level of her own, it's also great for adults especially if you have a difficult time understanding the King James Version. As with everything Pray to the Lord for understanding.

My granddaughter enjoys her new study Bible. I will be getting one more for my other granddaughter in the future. It is very imfomative for a teen. She likes the pages on being a teen and how to handle solve your problems.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nice Idea, Big Failure, November 14, 2010
This review is from: Teen Study Bible (New International Version) (Paperback)
If you're a Christian parent that wishes to pass your religion onto your kids, my story's worth reading. I was from a non-religious family, and accepted Christ at 14; this product contributed largely to my subsequent rejection of the faith a few years later. This product sets out to do a nice thing (make the bible more relatable for teens) but it fails miserably by posing far more questions than it answers or allows the bible to answer. The book often poses a question in the "voice" of the confused teen reader; this makes the teen feel understood. "My questions are being addressed!" The book then proceeds to make no mention of the subject again, nor provide any biblical referencing to where the subject might be addressed therein. "Is it OK to do everything but [vaginal sex]?" Question posed, never again mentioned. "What about evolution and the dinosaurs?" Question posed, never again mentioned. As a kid I was forced to question the very validity of the book (and the more I got to know it, the more ridiculous it seemed to any thinking person). Perhaps I was destined for agnosticism. Perhaps this book does what it can. But like it or not, the bible doesn't feature any whiny 21st century teenagers with whiny 21st century problems, and acting like it does but not explaining yourself points more young people away from the faith than towards it.

We purchased this as a gift for a 13 year old friend of ours who is new to church & the Bible. His reaction is the title of this review. That about sums it up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Missing Comtemporary Issues Colored Pages, October 27, 2007
This review is from: Teen Study Bible (New International Version) (Paperback)
I like this bible for teens, but the two books I ordered did not contain the colored contemporary issues pages. I already owned one bible and tried twice to get another. Both times these colored pages were missing.
