This review is from: Teen Titans Spotlight: Wonder Girl (Paperback)
This is a mythic book about a girl that just wants to lives a normal life. However it is difficult to do that when you are the daughter of Zeus and Wonder Woman's protege. This book follows on the events of the Amazon's war on America, called Amazons Attack. This is a solid book with splendid characterization. We understand Cassie, the Wonder Girl as a girl, a daughter, and an aspiring Amazon. She quarrels with family but in the end, her will and leadership allow her to save the day in an admirable fashion. The coloring and art are solid. I hope this is the first of a long run of Wonder Woman related tomes by the esteemed Mister Torres.

I've only read books with Cassandra a few times and she was rarely the star. Here, in the spotlight she shines pretty well. I feel I learned enough about her to follow along without having read the material that came before this. The DC pantheon is a good addition ere to play off. The art was decent but sometimes too cartoony. I wish there were less of the Furies and more of the Titans but overall a decent read.

This review is from: Teen Titans Spotlight: Wonder Girl (Paperback)
As a fan of all things 'Wonder', I was delighted to find this book that I didn't already have. This book collects 6 issues of a mini-series title Wonder Girl, from 2007 and 2008. The cover art is fantastic, but as soon as I opened the book I immediately started to feel like the artwork was done in a more cartoony style. That led me to believe that I wouldn't enjoy the graphic novel, but that just isn't the case. The story is engaging and PACKED with interesting characters and moments of action, drama, and humor. Before long, I had completely accepted the cartoony artwork, and it had even grown on me, as I realized it suited the story. All in all, this was a great 5 star read. If you're a fan of Wonder Girl, or even Wonder Woman or the Titans, then you will enjoy this book. Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thanks for your time folks. Sincerely, R.A. McDowell P.S. More recently, a Wonder Girl one shot was done. It, too, is very good. (Wonder Girl #1 (One Shot))
