4.0 out of 5 stars The Life OF A Teen Ain't Simple, June 4, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Teenage Bluez: A Collection of Urban Stories (Paperback)
Teenage Bluez is a great collection of urban series. Each and every story has something that makes it special. Some more than others. The story is basically about teenagers who either made mistakes in life or are trying to help others not to. 5 out of the 6 stories are about females. My favorite stories are Livin In The Fast Lane, Double Whammy, and Unbroken Promises. All 3 were about girls who were mislead by deceptionate men. All the girls were left out on their own and they all learned their lesson.Unfortunately for them it would be too late. The corniest story was Phat As I Wanna Be. It was a boring story about a girl who developed some eating disorder type disease. It was a waste of time. Overall, Teenage Bluez is a great reading experience!

3.0 out of 5 stars teenage bluez, May 4, 2009
This review is from: Teenage Bluez: A Collection of Urban Stories (Paperback)
i brought this book for my daughter, after reading the review of the collection, i myself read the book and we both overall rated it OK, we only manage to read the first two stories and then got bored, my daughter preferred the second series's and read all the stories so overall the first series is OK but would still recommend it to all teenagers as the stories are what teenagers can relate to

4.0 out of 5 stars Good read for Young Adults, December 18, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Teenage Bluez: A Collection of Urban Stories (Paperback)
There were three stories I loved the best. I believe the previous reviewer named them. I read this book when it first came out since my editor, Kathleen Jackson, was the project coordinator when it was coming out. I believe it is for age groups 12-18 instead of what is listed here. Her son wrote a story in Teenage Bluez 2, got an autographed signature too.
