5.0 out of 5 stars Great team-strategies development game!!!
I think that, while the graphics may sometimes be difficult to watch, the real value of this game is that it teaches you to cooperate.

It has helped me to play along with my 4-year son, instead of against him. We work together towards an objective, and help each other. And since he watches the TMNT cartoon, he is very familiar and excited with the characters...

2.0 out of 5 stars 4 player mode
I played this game for 5 minutes and i realized that this game is basically just hitting enemies and thought the makers of the game thought all they needed to do was put in a 4 player mode and the game will be good. So only get this game if you are willing to play with a friend, but if your usually alone get a cartoony game like paper mario and the thousand year door it's...

It has helped me to play along with my 4-year son, instead of against him. We work together towards an objective, and help each other. You know how reviews sometimes go, "...if you liked that, you'll love this!" well this might be one of those reviews. I did enjoy the 2001 TMNT. Of the improvements I did wish for, more players (like the old coin-op Turtle game) was at the top of my hypothetical list. And may I say, "boy does TMNT 2:Battle Nexus deliver that one!" And if "More settings and scenes" was on that increasingly imaginary list of mine, then Battle Nexus is on that one too! So many settings, in fact, that the Game Cube ed. has 2 discs, although part of the need for extra space may come from the hidden "Arcade TMNT game" and other extras like multiple Tournaments. The actual game play isn't as smooth as in the 2001 version, but the graphics are better and hooks like player grades and MVP awards are excellent distractions.

I always wanted this game and I got it. It's real fun because you get to be all four turtles. Also you can be different people like Spilnter. The levels are so fun. You can also ride s snow/skate broad. The first boss you beat is Hun. He's really easy to beat. So play is game.

This game has huge perks. Me, I am a gamer but my standards are so high that I rip a game apart for having less thean perfect graphics. So if you are like me than maybe this review will help. This games number one perk for me was you can unlock the old Arcade game from the late 80's early 90's. Not the nintendo version but the actual arcade version...and play it in 4 player mode. The actual game comes in two disks, the story is pretty standard and theres no need to get all deep about a story about some turles and ninja robots anyway right? The gameplay is repeatative, and for a snigle player its not very exciting. Also if you play this alone it will be difficult. If you play this with others in which you can work together it will be a breeze. Get this game if you have kids or play with others. And if not then buy for the arcade inclusion which you can download online if you don't want to but sometimes those have glitches.

This is not a good game. I just thought I would get that out of the way. It's also not a game that's easy to play through. It's difficulty is a result of poor implementation. However, I did have fun playing through it. Although, if I had not used cheat codes for invincibility I wouldn't have played for long before bashing my head into the wall. There are tons of enemies, and most of them can take off quite a lot of health. You have to earn combos and defense by collecting 'crystals' throughout the game. So by the end of the game, once you've finally collected enough crystals, you'll have a decent combo attack and a decent amount of defense to prevent from dying so often. This is really something that should be available from the beginning though. There are some saving graces though. The main reasons that I had fun playing through this game were, number one: the animated cut scenes. There's a pretty good story in there if you like TMNT, and it kept me wanting to know what happens next, even if I didn't particularly want to dredge through another level. Number two: if you play through and collect a certain 'artifact', you unlock the original arcade game. This is pretty cool considering you can actually play with four players if you want to.

Like I said, it's not a good game. It's not the worst game I've ever played though, and I don't regret buying it (for about $10). So if you really like TMNT, you might find enjoyment out of this. I would recommend cheating though, otherwise you're just inflicting pain on yourself.

3.0 out of 5 stars ninja turles arcade game, March 8, 2009

Really liked the arcade version of this game. The main part of the game isn't that great... you need to get to the 9th level of the game, to unlock the arcade game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Picked it up on close out and me and my friends love it, November 16, 2008

I suppose this game is meant to appeal towards a kid, but me and my friends who 18 years old plus love playing the game. I grew up playing and watching the original Ninja Turtles and can say that this game is appealing to those young and old since it's decently diffcult and requires a lot of team work good job!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Cool Game, November 30, 2007
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Battle Nexus (Video Game)
It's a pretty fun game! Granted, it isn't the best game I've played, but it is entertaining. I love the way that their voices are just like the TV series and the accuracy of the game to the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars worth buying fun to play, November 19, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 Battle Nexus (Video Game)
This game is good and I like when you hit someone it says somthing becaus you know you hit them and their is know bar showing how much life they have left. I hate thoes bars. The grafics are not as good as the third but you can unlock arcade games whitch is a cool featcher. Best about the game is you can play as splinter, CaseyJones, and April Oniel. Can you belive that April Onieal she can really fight. She is not the damsel in destress like in the movies. If you ar a TMNT fan this is a game for you.
