(Review is based on a 7 year old who has had this for 3 days)
This is a cool toy, but it doesn't say that many things. With how easily audio can be recorded on a chip, I expected a lot more out of it.

Mikey tells 2 jokes.
Leo has a few missions.
Donnie has 5 trivia questions.
Raphael does a few exercises.

He enjoys it and has played with it quite a bit, but is quickly losing interest in it. He was also very excited to get it when he picked it out at the store, but was disappointed with the limited phrasing. Might be ok for a younger child.

Press a button and talk to the turtles! Great for role play. My 6 year old sons loves playing with this TMNT communicator. It makes really cool punching kicking sounds when you play with it and it gets my son up and moving! Also, the turtles voices are very cool. All the recordings of the characters are in good taste, no bad words, safe for kids, and can sort of be funny at times.

I would recommend this product for kids. Really fun!

Another cool addition to the collection is this "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Talking Communicator." A side switch enables three functions: Up ("Demo"), middle ("OFF"), and down ("ON"). It is a very basic & simple design of four large buttons each representing a different turtle and function.

Leonardo ("YES") = "Complete a mission with Leo"
Michelangelo ("NO") = "Joke with Mikey"
Donatello = "Tackle trivia with Donnie"
Raphael = "Train with Raph"

It requires two AAA batteries accessed through the back via one Phillips head screw. It comes with a hidden belt clip that will slide out for convenient carrying. I am guessing that this is supposed to be a facsimile of Donnie's T-Pod.

"How do you fix a broken pizza...with tomato paste!"

This was a birthday present for a Ninja Turtle themed party. It was a great gift. However, unknown to me, it can be bought at Walmart in-store at a better price.

My children love it. Even the big girls (16 and 10). Of course, the boys totally follow the commands for training, etc. They even learn Mike's jokes.

I think for the price it could have a few more "'communications". I've seen less expensive talking toys with a much larger vocabulary.
