5.0 out of 5 stars Fun all around
This handy little collection features the first 3 issues of the Archie Comics series, which adapted the first few episodes of the original cartoon. Hopefully, they will continue to reprint these, as the very underrated Archie Comics series of TMNT hits its stride after branching out into its own with issue #5.

This mini comic that resembles a fanzine collects the three issue mini series of the TMNT Adventures from Archie Comics that debuted way back in 1988. The three stories here are adapted from the 1987 animated five episode pilot that would no sooner & for better or worse, make them pop culture icons. Besides the awesome Michael Dooney cover, the untidy coloring throughout...

What to say...

I love the Ninja Turtles, ever since I first found out about them.

And 2009 sees 25 years of Ninja Turtles. So I was rather pleased to get Archie Comic's offering for the collected volumes of their first TMNT comics. Especially as I missed them the first time around.

It's the first 3 issues of the Archie run comics into Graphic Novel form. And it's just beautiful this walk through memory lane and reliving what's been fun about them.

If Archie Comics will produce and put out more. I'll be sure to collect them up.

This book is awesome if for no other reason because its such a throwback. The artwork and story are definitely very old school. Its a very fun look back at what was going on with comics, and the turtles themselves, at the time. A very good comic for anyone interested in a bit of nostalgia. Its definitely a cool book to have in your collection.

Besides the awesome Michael Dooney cover, the untidy coloring throughout the book really diminishes the artwork. There's really nothing dazzling here so unless your a die hard collector your better off checking out the recent collections from IDW Publishing.
