This TMNT rules.
I just got it 2 days ago and I am already on World 3 level 1. I just can't wait to unlock the arcade game. This game [TMNT 3]reminds me of TMNT 1 for the GBA in a way. Except, you get to have help from all 4 turtles. Also, April helps you too. So, at least the Turtles aren't trying to save her again. I love the fact that some of the old enemies from previous games are included. Like, the mouse robots that will chomp you on the arm. Pros: Awesome, game two games for the price of one. Cons: You, have to defeat all the levels up to 9-1 to get the arcade old school game.

Cool game. Fun to play. Challenging. Can't advance untill you practice each level well. It's exciting to wait and see what turns up on each new level.

fun beat 'em up,

I have always loved button mashing beat 'em up games (streets of rage, most ninja turtle games, etc). This one is no exception. Of the games I have played to date, the graphics are probably the poorest I have seen on the DS. But the game itself is great. Control is nice, the different turtles fight differently enough to keep things interesting, and mutiple paths through the levels depending on which turtle you use gives a decent amount of replay value. And let us not forget the ability to unlock the original arcade game =). I don't have a GBA so I don't know what using the GBA turtle titles unlocks.

If you have played that terrible movie version of this game, you will be happy to know that this one does not even resemble that version in anyway.
This one is a side-scroller action game with 4 areas of 6 stages in each that vary depending on which turtle you use. Each turtle has a unique ability that is needed to access certain areas of stages. Leonardo has the ability to slice through pipes, Raph can move boulders, Donny can access computers and hit certain buttons with his stick, and Mikey can grip to walls and bounce of them like Super Mario. Also each character can have a different back up partner, depending on what obstacle you come to. You may find a fellow turtle help projectile you to a higher platform and what not. Each turtle also has there unique shell kicking moves. Mikey can continuously hit opponents in the air, or do a zangief like spinning clothesline, where as Donny spins his bo around like a helicopter and knocks the bad guys flying away. You can only chose one turtle at a time, and progressing through the game, you kind of wish you could alternate between them when you want, like in the very first TMNT game on the NES many years ago. Speaking of that, it's still Konami making these games, and there are certain levels in this game that remind you a lot of past TMNT games. As it's not just a side scroller like the Arcade smash of yesteryear, it also contains levels where you may need to swim, ride a motorbike, jump in aprils flying thingy mobile and so forth. Even at my age now, I still found this game to be pretty good, even tho I am not a fan of this new generation of turtles, I still enjoyed beating up the new foot-soldiers, dinosaurs, clay men, Keenu Matrix man, mousers, and Dr Jekyll and Mr M. Jackson... I suppose if I watched the new series, i'd know who they are, but I don't, so sue me for my description of them. I'd recommend if you start playing to not set the option to easy, and leave it on normal, as on easy you will not be able to access the 4th area of levels. There is plenty to do in the game, and plenty of reasons why you need to replay some of the same stages with a different turtles to access different things. There is also these crystals you you can collect through the game that you will need all 4 turtles to find them all. if you find all 20 in a area, you unlock pictures of drawings from the show... pretty much a waste of time to me, but someone out there will probably find it cool. As well as the regular levels, there is also a training mode to practice what your turtle can do, and mini games of collecting as many crystals as you can using your skills just to see how good you are. Overall, if your a turtle fan of yesteryear, or now, you should enjoy this game. I have no idea how multilayer works, but id assume you have two turtles on screen as you see in one player when you might have to help a robot out, or have someone like Master Splinter or Leatherhead helping you out.

I'm not saying oh this game rocks! it's a very good game but unfortanetly too hard. I'm only on the third level in world two but can't get past it. That's not a big problem for me because I've got three other games and might get Metroid Prime Hunters also, that's not it I also like to beat the levels I already beat. I really can't say much else about it but the last thing is the cool moves the turtles do, they're more athletic in this game than the Ninja Turtles in Super Nintendo.
