3.0 out of 5 stars Recipe for having fun with the kids
This book is for younger kids who are learning to read, but probably already like the Turtles. Older Turtle fans will also like it as well. There are around 4 to 5 lines of words on each page at the most & all the sentences are simple. I have to keep reminding myself that it's for younger kids, because it just seems funny thinking of the Turtles talking in such a...

This review is from: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles : Pizza Party (Paperback)
This book is for younger kids who are learning to read, but probably already like the Turtles. Older Turtle fans will also like it as well. There are around 4 to 5 lines of words on each page at the most & all the sentences are simple. I have to keep reminding myself that it's for younger kids, because it just seems funny thinking of the Turtles talking in such a "basic" English. Here's a little warning to parents: there's a recipe for English muffin pizzas in the back, & you will want to supervise your children if they want to do this. But I know you don't want very young ones doing cooking experiments alone. It also shows a big mess of pizza sauce, but don't let kids use "But the Turtles got messy," as an excuse to get their clothes dirty or not clean their rooms. Other than that, I think this is a good book to read to little ones on a rainy day, & then do the recipe at the end with them, & then chow down! Kids should really like that.

this was the first book i ever learned how to read all by myself! yay!!! throughout the years, the book got beaten up like crazy and soon disappeared. i dont know what happened to it, but i wanted to go back into my childhood and own this book again. i ordered it off here, used but looked brand new, and it made me feel like a kid again. i remembered things from every page. i even recalled my mom using the pizza bagel recipe in the back of the book. she'd make me those for after school snacks. anyways, it was cool to relive my childhood, but its not a book you sit down and read when you're bored. it takes like 5 minutes to read the entire thing, but its fun if you read it when you were a kid, or are a fan of the turtles.
