4.0 out of 5 stars Cheaters never get ahead, November 22, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: School Daze (Paperback)
The Turtles are eating out at some restaurant & a group of human teenagers walk in. The Turtles wonder what it would be like if they could be human teens, & they want to go to school & find out. They go to school in disguise & they each split up & find classes that suit their individual interests. This boy in Leonardo's English class offers to sell him homework that he & his gang bought from kids that graduated the year before. Leo knows that this is cheating, so he & the other Turtles thwart their plans and the cheaters get in trouble. Warning to parents: kids may read this book & learn a way to cheat on homework, but the good thing is that the Turtles get the cheaters in trouble, which shows that this book does not condone cheating. Whenever the "climax showdown" scene comes, the Turtles don't actually fight the cheaters, since they are just kids at school, so this book doesn't condone fighting at school, either. This is a great book that shows that cheating doesn't get you ahead, & to let higher (school) authorities handle bullies instead of trying to fight them yourself. Warning to those with weak stomachs: at the very end, the Turtles are sharing what they learned at school with Splinter, & Michaelangelo says he learned that pizza tastes great when dipped in chocolate.
