Editorial Reviews

Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo are back in the classic final season that pits turtles from the past and present against the evil Lord Dregg and his minions. Determined to enslave mankind, Dregg will stop at nothing to win - causing a piece of the sun to crash into Earth, opening a giant portal to pull the planet into Dimension X, and even draining the life energy from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Carter soon realizes that the only way to defeat Dregg, Krang and Shredder is to bring the Turtles' past selves to the present - double the Turtle power! But will they make it in time before Dregg's invasion is complete? Featuring time-warping serious Turtle muscle, season 10 is a totally tubular finale!

5.0 out of 5 stars At Last, the Two Lost Episode are on DVD! August 17, 2012
I grew up watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series and the live movies. I stumbled upon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Original Series - Season 4 back in 2007 at a Walmart store and of course I had to buy it. I later ordered the previous seasons which were never released in sets; instead they were released in six volumes.

I patiently wait for every new season to be released. When Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Original Series - Season 5 was released back in August 2007, I, like many other fans, was disappointed that two episodes were left out of the set. I was disappointed again in the next four season releases as they didn't have the missing episodes either.

LionsGate has finally released the tenth and final season to DVD. For a bonus, the two missing episodes "Once Upon a Time Machine" and the double length episode "Planet of the Turtleoids" are included.

Season 10 Episodes are:

The Return of Dregg
The Beginning of the End
The Power of Three
A Turtle in Time
Turtles to the Second Power
Mobster From Dimension X
The Day the Earth Disappeared
Divide and Conquer

Four of the season ten episodes are also on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Original Series, Volume One as bonuses. For the last three seasons, the animation in the series became darker and added a red sky. Some of the humor was taken out and the characters were less developed.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's about time... June 25, 2012
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started its animated run in 1987. This is the series that made every little boy, and some little girls, go outside to play Ninja Turtles instead of Cowboys and Indians and Cops and Robbers.

This series also made us little fans constantly bug our parents to buy us the action figures, the Turtle pies, the cereal, the "Crunchabungas", go to the 3 movies during this run, buy the video games, waste 20 bucks on the arcade game, and yes, the Halloween costumes every year. And I'm sure most of us tried to ask our parents to order a peanut butter and anchovy pizza.

Now that the nostalgia is over, let's get to the review, or preview in this case:

This series sadly ended in 1996, but not without a final season for the ages. There was a new voice actor for Raphael, although it wasn't too noticeable, Shredder and Krang make their return for an epic multi-part episode, and Dregg wants revenge after being exposed in the Season 9 finale. The final showdown against Dregg in the series finale, Divide and Conquer, is as epic as ever. But I don't want to spoil too much.

If you are TMNT fan, this DVD is a must have. Even if all you want is to complete your collection, this is a must have. The "Divide and Conquer" series finale will leave you in tears. It certainly did it to me in 1996, until seven years later when the series returned based on the comics.

I will certainly pre-order this item. If you are a fan, I suggest you do too. Cowabunga, fans!

Well, here we are -- the series finale of the 10 year long-running T.M.N.T. cartoon show! The writers did everything they could to pull out all the punches. Sadly, Lord Dregg is still the boss of each episode, but Shredder and Krang WILL return, as promised! :) And even more madness will happen this time around!

Episode #187 -- Lord Dregg employs a brand new army of Batmen (the Technogang are no longer around) and summons Mung as his second in command, therefore giving his other robot -- Hi Tech -- the ultimate boot. Hey, I tried to warn you in the previous review people, Dregg is MUCH meaner than Shredder and Krang put together!! :( Mung gives Dregg a canister of Microbots, which he intends to use to build a Vortex Transporter.

Meanwhile, Carter and the T.M.N.T. find a way to get rid of their ugly mutations. Carter had managed to pick up some Vortex Crystal particles when he stole it back from Doomquest in Episode #186. Unfortunately, one of the Turtles -- Leonardo -- will NOT get restored back to normal (thanks to one of Mung's Microbots). In fact, he'll mutate into an even MORE grotesque mutant -- oh no!! :( So it's up to the rest of the T.M.N.T. to stop him from destroying the city! April also finds out Dregg's evil plan and gets captured in the process.

Episode #188: The T.M.N.T. still can't restore Leonardo's mutation back to normal. And Dregg knows it too -- so he takes advantage of the situation by kidnapping him! Donatello quickly follows suit to an old abandoned warehouse. Dregg intends to zap Leonardo with a plutonium ray, which will cause him to go nuclear and take NYC with him!! :( Thankfully, Carter and the T.M.N.T.
