4.0 out of 5 stars What is Teenage Romance?, April 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Teenage Romance: Or How to Die of Embarrassment (Paperback)
This book is all about what life is like for a teenager. It gives you those embarassing moments plus what to do about them. I wouldn't take any of the advice seriously, but it's a great thing to read! It also proves that you can overcome anything you wish as a teenager. However, it also helps teenagers to see how obsessed they are with image. If you are a teenager, I highly recommend this book. If not, you'll still get a good laugh.

5.0 out of 5 stars 20+ Years, and I still LOVE it!!!, July 14, 2004

John F. Wallace (Anthem, AZ United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Teenage Romance (Hardcover)
When I was a teen, my mother gave this book to me. We both thought that it was hilarious. We shared stories of my mother's teen years and compared our "worlds". Now that I have a daughter who is a pre-teen, I'm looking to carry on the tradition. Even though this book was written in 1981 - it's timeless in it's attitudes of how a teenager views life. Ahhh...the tragedies of teenagers!? Would recommend this to any Mom and Daughter team out there!

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny and timeless, May 13, 2000
This review is from: Teenage Romance (Hardcover)
You'll have flashbacks to your own teenage years while reading this book. Although it's definitely rooted in the American teen experience, the embarrassment of adolescence seems to be pretty much universal (in the English-speaking world at least), so this book is sure to strike a few chords no matter where you're from. Appealing illustrations round out the package. Recommended.
