Its the 850 but looks exactly like this one. GREAT!,
By cashaaa (florida) - See all my reviews Normally, I toss and turned all night with numbness and arthritic pain in hands and forearms. I searched to see if this Teeter Table has helped anyone with upper back problems as most of the praise was about relief of lower back pain. My search only found another person with the same question and no answer. This thing is great. I now have hope. It has helped relief dragging pain and discomfort I have come to know as an all-the-time thing. I thought it might help a little but not this much. WOW! The first night after using it, I slept so deep and my pain and numbness was much relieved. I slept through the night til 5:10 instead of the usual, up every two hours. Still, I developed the pain (pretty strong) by the end of the work day. I went home used it to relax and teeter on. What a great stress reliever it is. I also inverted all the way back this time for a few seconds. Really pulls the weight of your head off the spinal column. I spent a lot of time on it just inverting minimally while my daughter told me about her day. (She loves it too to relieve back ache and stress). Then I slept well all night with minimal numbness and pain with deeper sleep. Only woke up once in the middle of the night. 2nd night: Slept great, pain much less than day before, and a great day at work with no pain WOW! I just wanted to make sure I told you how great it is because my inclination (no pun intended) would be to invert my happy self off into the sunset. Good night! Buy it it's well worth the money! Oh one more thing. Do watch the dvd on assembling it. That will save you a lot of time putting it together. My daughter and I did it in a reasonable amount of time. It is well made and you feel secure with how well it is put together. Happy inverting! I will try to update if any changes develop.

The last straw.,
By Finally as a last request from a good friend; he told me to purchase a Teeter Hangup. I thought he was crazy for the first three months of hearing about it, but when returning home from the chiropractor I ordered it from Amazon. Just about 5 days later it arrived and I assembled it in about 45 minutes (I hate putting stuff together). I hung with the secure strap keeping me from all the way inverted, but almost all the way. My wife all the while was watching me thinking I was a nut. Within 2 minutes my back made a pop in the area that was injured that the chiropractor could not pop back into place the majority of the time, popped like two locomotives pulling apart from each other! I yelled out loud expecting the pain to be overwhelming and found no pain, just a solid release of my vertebrates that were out of alignment. I hung again the next morning and had a smaller pop near the middle of my back (right in the spine). I was able to move around without hunching over that morning for the first time in I can't remember how long. I am now using my own portable electronic stimulator unit for muscle relaxation I purchased from a local medical supply company at the same time that I do inversion therapy. Thank you Teeter hangup for my new hope!

HOPE HANGS!,
By I have NEVER screamed for my bloody life louder or uncontrollably IN MY LIFE. Damn good thing there were no other patients in there or they'd have left the building faster than Elvis. My poor husband was in the waiting room listening, powerless. They had to hold me in recovery longer as my blood pressure flew so high, they were afraid of cardiac arrest. I was afraid of cardiac arrest. He LIED to me, laughing at my fear and concern about the procedure saying, "Bah, tsk - you'll laugh when this is over, if I thought it was going to hurt you I'd give you a needle to poke me." I'd like that needle now please you schmuk. You know the saying 'always trust your gut?' Apply as necessary. So that funfilled procedure lasted roughly a month, a depressing thought, great - was that it? No hope? I knew I'd NEVER go through that again, someone recommended acupuncture. I did my research and found a wonderful clinic in Burbank. First visit, I could have danced a jig out of there. Second visit? Not so much. So here I am with no hope for relief, leaving in a month for England. Great, you could over-medicate me for pain and flash postcards of London and I wouldn't need to leave my living room. Then, I had another friend who recommended inversion tables. I did my research and WOW!!!!!!!!! Here it is and only [...] bux, free shipping and (for those of us in CA who HATE Sacramento) NO SALES TAX. I read all your reviews and actually felt confident of this product. What other "hope" did I have? Two weeks now and I'm 98% better. Went to Disneyland Monday and rode "do not ride if you have back conditions) rides and am still FINE! I inverted last night and heard two wonderful, beautiful pops and I can't believe something this simple, inexpensive and non-medicinal can do this. I'm floored. No really, when I'm inverted I touch the floor with my fingers. I only don't like how it makes my head feel, like a giant tomato. Some tips though that have helped me. I went to K-Mart (ewww, I know) and bought some knock-off Uggs for $[...] and then wrap each ankle with an ACE bandage. The suede boots and bandage work perfectly for me as I felt I was between adjustments. Very confident and comfortable. Sorry for the long, drag-on, but I really wanted to share and THANK YOU to all of you who wrote in reviews. You all deserve honorary doctrines for saving my life. New customers? Just BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great for Backs and Necks!,

I had borrowed a F-8000 from a friend when I was diagnosed with "stenosis" of C4-C6 vertebrae in my neck. The neurosurgeon I consulted after my MRI suggested neck surgery, but after hearing the possible side effects, I decided to try other things. I used the F-8000 in the morning and evening, gradually working up to a 60° inversion angle, for 10 minutes/session (=2 minutes inverted and 30 seconds up for a total of 5 reps). Using it from April-August, I became symptom free after only two months, and continued to use it because it felt good after a long swim or working out with weights. When my generous friend needed his Teeter back, (his back issue had flared up) I started looking around for my own, but of course the F-8000 had been obsoleted. One of the things that was a little challenging on the F-8000 was reaching down after inverting to release the ankle clamp mechanism. The EP-550 had the same type of mechanism, and if you have a back issue, it takes a few moments of bending at the waist to feel comfortable enough to release your ankles. But on the EP-950, there is an easily reached lever that you just push down on to release the lock and then move the lever away from away from you to release you ankles. The extra 9" of reach on this lever really helps your lower back. The flex system on the EP series is nice since you can move easier from side to side to stretch the back if you want. The F-8000 had a stretched fabric backing (like the F-4000), but there was a bar that depending on your height would contact your lower back (my wife encountered this problem), But on the EP-950 and presumably the EP-550, the plastic back rest has the support bar recessed back, away from the contact surface, so it is very comfortable. The little pillow supplied with the EP-950 is helpful to reduce the friction, if you, like me, want to move your neck back and forth when partially inverted (20-60°). It is adjustable in position through the larger holes in the table. I have not had issues with ankle discomfort like some, perhaps because my weight is around 180 lbs. One thing that I do not like as much is the restraint strap that is used for restricting the inversion angle. On the F-8000, there were preset loops installed on the strap to allow 20, 40, and 60° inversion angles, but on the EP-950, there are only color coded markings on the strap, so you have to adjust a buckle to change the setting - less convenient and not as quick as the preset color coded loops on the F-8000. Its not a big deal now, since my wife is inverting at 40°, and I am not restricting my inversion and typically now invert between 60° and complete inversion (90°). The EP-950 is really solid and is very well constructed. I have been very impressed with the quality of the Teeter brand. The assembly was straight forward, but the diagrams on the assembly instructions sheets left a few doubts on some steps, so you may want to look at the DVD that comes with the inversion table to look at some of the steps in detail. It easily folds up for storage, but it is rather heavy, and requires two persons to comfortably move it any distance. The teeters are occasionally on sale, but mostly the prices are fairly constant across most of the internet sites. Amazon had a sale on the EP-950 that made it a little cheaper than other sites when I bought mine. Shipping was included in the price (as for most sites). I am very pleased, and will be using it for the foreseeable future because the positive and real benefits to my neck and back.Update, August 7, 2010. Have had this for almost a year and have been symptom free on my neck. I use it after every workout, bike ride, or swim. Both my wife and I use it (she every day) at 60° (I do total 90° inversion for my last two inversions out of five). It has become a part of our normal routine. I love the ease of the cam-lever foot release which is really easy on your back. And this thing is solid. Had to spray some Tri-flow on the pivot surface because we had it in the garage in the winter, and it squeaked a little, but it is working perfectly, looks brand new...

No more back pain,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I purchased the Teeter Hang Up from Amazon.com almost a year ago. I have had back problems for almost thirty years with surgery recommended for the past twenty, which I have put off. I have herniated discs of L4 and L5 along with arthritis of my spine, knees and ankles.Since the 1990's I have been living with daily pain and in the late 1990's have had a few weeks where I cannot possibly get in my car or work. On a regular day I had trouble getting in and out of my car, could not work around the yard or do anything strenuous. Finally by 2009 I decided things were so bad that I could not hold off on surgery any longer and started doing research and happened on the reviews on Amazon.com after seeing one of the Teeter Hang Up commercials. I thought I had nothing to lose but still had limited hope that it would help my situation. When I got the Teeter Hang Up I went only part of the way back the first couple of days, then decided to take the plunge and go vertical. I made sure my wife was around as I was a little worried about whether my back could go out and of course at 52 years old was not used to hanging upside down. When I first went vertical it was kind of like when I used to go to a Chiropractor. There were some pops and cracks which actually felt good but was disconcerting at first. By the end of the first week I was amazed that my back felt so much better. After about the second week we went away for a few days and my back pain started coming back since I could not use the Teeter Hang Up. Once I started using again the pain went away again. I then started doing stretching exercises and even sit up and crunches on the Teeter. You can do some great exercises. I decided to wait awhile before writing a review as I always felt that maybe the relief was temporary or would reverse. But my back kept getting better, to the point that I have not had any pain for several months, and even when we go away for a week or so, the pain does not come back. Now that it has been almost a year I can now work in the yard, use a shovel, get in and out of my car with absolutely no pain, and am even going to the gym and working out with heavy weights. I can now walk and run long distances which makes me thrilled as I used to run races, but have not been able to in many years. I now am getting in better condition and hope soon to be in as good or better condition than I was in my youth. I know one thing, and that is that Teeter Hang Ups has made me able to do everything I used to do, and do it pain free. And the best part is, I never even consider having spinal surgery any more. I had talked to my doctors about Teeter Hang Ups and they all said forget it, they cannot work. I am glad I tried it and hope that many other people will try the Teeter Hang Up and Inversion Therapy before jumping in to having surgery. Although I know that if I permanently stopped using the Teeter Hang Up, my pain would likely return, I now believe that as long as I continue to use it daily, I will never, ever have a back problem again.

Well built machine that really helps!,
By You will not be disappointed in the quality of this thing, solid as a rock! I inverted partially the first two days and then did the full monty. It helps if you come back up and rest at about 45% up bubble to allow the back to readjust in order to avoid the slight pain you may have. The plastic bed is a bit hard on the head so I either wear a hooded shirt or try to keep something there. The ankles have minimal discomfort, if you are fragile you may need the space boots or something else. For me, a good pair of socks is fine.
