In their first face-off, the Father kills a man and Johnny wounds it. From that instant on, the Father hunts him relentlessly, until the heart-pounding final confrontation on the beaches of the South Pacific. The three run directly for the Valley of the Cannibals - home to the most bloodthirsty headhunters on the entire island of New Guinea. The lovely Gwyn saved Johnny's life, but to have a chance with her, he must meet her challenge to rediscover his heart. Meet real people like Supreme Commander, General Douglas MacArthur and gunboat skipper (and future US President) Jack Kennedy. MY LIFE IS LIKE MY NOVEL - EXTREME ADVENTURE
Hello! A warm welcome to the virtual fireside. I invite you to read my novel, "TEETH." This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
I was born on wheels. I'd lived in six countries by the time I was eighteen, and had traveled across several continents and oceans. I've kept going ever since. But let me tell you how my novel, "TEETH" came about - the first tome in "The South Pacific Trilogy."
As a boy, I spent a formative decade on the savage island of New Guinea (just north of Australia). My parents were missionaries, but they might as well have been Margaret Mead and Mark Twain: my young life was a blend of exotic anthropology and river adventures. I grew up with warriors who were once headhunters and cannibals. I thrived outdoors, camping in the jungle, and floating down the river that runs through it.
Back in North America, I studied Creative Writing at the graduate level with the goal of becoming a novelist. But I got sidetracked into an enthralling career in television. Originally, I was hired as Head Writer, and eventually Executive Producer, of an edgy prime-time TV show in a metropolitan market. There, I rubbed shoulders with movie and television stars, recording artists, and heads of state. It was a fantastic introduction to life in the media.
During that time, I produced an interview with James Clavell, movie writer and producer, and best-selling author of a slew of South Pacific novels - "Shogun," "Gai Jin," "Tai Pan," "Nobel House," and more. James loved the Asian-themed interview we staged, and we became friends. He was kind enough to read some of my writing that would one day grow into my book. He told me I had talent, never to quit, and perdition on the naysayers! I never forgot that.
I went on to found my own production studio, and crafted documentary and adventure programs all over our planet. Highlights you could have seen include "The Toughest Break" on spinal cord injury, with the late movie star Christopher (Superman) Reeve (after he, tragically, became the world's most famous quadriplegic), seen on Discovery Health, PBS, and international broadcasters. I made "Return of the Dolphin" for Discovery with legendary rocker, Bryan Adams, and went to London to record the narration. I spent three weeks in the Canadian wilderness on a wild whitewater ride down the Fraser River, to shoot "Thunder in the Canyon," a tribute to the intrepid explorer, Simon Fraser. And then there was my adventure series, "Aqua Planet," that traveled the globe for several years, and put me underwater with giant sharks and beautiful women - from Australia to Cuba.
In the mid-2000s, I moved to the beach in Mexico to fully embrace my dream of becoming a novelist. I'm thrilled to present you with the result - "TEETH - The Epic Novel with Bite." To see in print is the fulfillment of a life goal.
Today I'm hard at work on the 2nd volume in the trilogy - "SKINS."
I look forward to the kind of relationship with you that is only possible in this Internet Age. In order to stay in touch - to know first about new books before anyone else - and to be in the running for free draws, take a second to like my page:
