The answer to my mom's TV viewing problems. The dementia was getting worse and all those tiny buttons on her remote confused her. She deprogrammed the TV frequently. What a great relief to not get 4 phone calls a day complaining the TV did not work. Just remember to take the original remote home or they will hunt it down! She could never find her teeth or hairbush but she seemed to have ESP when looking for the remote.

This remote would have been perfect for my elderly mother except for the fact that it does not work with Cable boxes. Luckily, our TV has a built-in cable card and we can get most cable stations by disconnecting the extra box (although now I no longer have any On-Demand or DVR capability). Also, if you have access to many stations it may take a while to navigate up/down to any specific station you're looking for.

I bought this for my 80 year old mother who has macular degeneration resulting in very limited eyesight. She loves this remote because of the six very large buttons that are easy to see and easy to operate. With her other remote, she kept hitting buttons that would change the set-up of her TV resulting in me having to re-do her set-up at least once a month. That won't happen with this remote. This remote is ideal for seniors and people with limited vision who simply want a remote to turn-on their TV and adjust the channels and volume. This product is very simple to program and works on almost all TV sets.

The Tek Pal Large Button TV Remote is great! I've bought my 82 year old father tons of things (telephones, clocks, etc.) for the visually impaired, and most were just too complicated. This remote is great. It programs in a heartbeat - first time that I didn't need help from my 13 year old son to do something technical. My dad loves this and wants another for his bedroom TV! Thank you, Tek Pal, for understanding what it means to be older and have vision problems and for finding a solution. I'll buy everything you make from now on.

Easy set-up. Great size - very hand friendly especially for arthritic joints. Six large buttons for the most-used functions. A very practical solution for replacing the old worn-out remote.

I can not tell you the number stores I have raced out to trying to get my 89 year old dad a different controller. He just never understood any of them. In the assist living place he is at he only has cable, so he didn't need anything else on a tv/cable controller. For months he wasn't able to use the other controller he had. He wasn't able to turn the tv off or if he did try he would get very confused and try to turn it off with the phone. Therefore 9 times out of 10 hanging up on me. The conversation after when we finally got back together on the phone was why did I hang up!!! This is so easy to use, the buttons are big and the field of the ray if you will going to the tv is so large, it really helps. If you have an older parent or friend with problems with tv controllers, just try this one. Easy to set up and the price is right.

So easy to set up, so easy to use...the solution for my elderly relatives who get confused by the regular clicker that is too complex. GREAT

My husband has arthritus in his hands and had a hard time using the buttons on a regular remote, especially the mute button. With this product, problem solved!

I bought this remote for my 94 year old grandmother because she always hit the wrong button on her old multi-function remote that would disable the TV buttons. No matter how many times I showed my grandmother how to enable the TV buttons on her remote, she could never understand. The remote is the perfect size, the buttons have a great feel, the buttons are big and bright, and the remote programming procedure is foolproof. The only thing I wish it didn't have was the mute button, but hitting the mute button again or volume button turns the sound back on. The remote is working on a 14 year old RCA color television. I want one for my LCD HDTV, because I never liked multi-function remotes becase the wrong button is always pushed in the dark that disables changing the TV channel. This remote is wonderfully simple to use, simple to program, and works perfectly. Highly recommended for all.
