3.0 out of 5 stars What game?
I only bought this for the arcade stick. The game is still sealed in it's box. I have been satisfied with the stick for the most part. The wireless functionality is very good. I've even used it in a different room without problems. The stick is solidly built and responsive.

Although it is inferior to my TE stick, it's lighter and has wireless capabilities.

Others have made some very good observations regarding the Tekken 6 game for the XBOX 360, however, the focus of this review is more focused in regard to the wireless controller... Undoubtedly Tekken fans will love this wireless fighting stick! The build is rock solid with no wireless lag whatsoever! The top and corner edges are molded in a fashion that eliminates sharp corners and the control buttons are each plainly marked above or below respectively. Syncing to the XBOX 360 was a breeze via a recessed button, located on the face of the controller, in the upper left corner. This controller definitely brings the arcade feel home, and yet it is light enough to place on your lap without being uncomfortable. There are non-slip pads in each corner on the bottom for tabletop use. Also on the bottom there is a compartment for two AA batteries, which are included. A label is also on the bottom of this device, which reads: TEKKEN 6 WIRELESS FIGHTING STICK, C/N: HORI CO., LTD., M/N: 1501#00, P/N: 09072. In addition, for those of you, like myself, who have been on a hunt for an excellent controller to use with Pac-Man C.E. (Championship Edition), Ms. PAC-MAN and PAC-MAN, look no further! Again, this wireless fighting stick controller works flawlessly and with no lag with each of these games. [...] Hope this provides you with some additional insight. God bless!

5.0 out of 5 stars Limited Edition bundle review, November 27, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tekken 6 Limited Edition Wireless Fight Stick Bundle (Video Game)
I bought this bundle for a friend of mine, and I played with the stick briefly to make sure it works fine. This review will mainly focus on the stick and the art book in this bundle.

-The stick:
It's wireless, and uses 2 AA batteries. The lag from the wireless isn't detectable to me. I also own a custom stick with sanwa parts - the buttons on this hori stick has a bit more "spring" to it than the sanwa buttons, and the joystick itself feels slightly tighter than the sanwa. The direction inputs are accurate, and the buttons feel responsive. I had no problems pulling off long juggles in Tekken 6 or doing link combos in SF4.
As far as its build goes, the stick is fairly light weight, and isn't very big (compared to my other stick anyway); I think this is in-line with other hori sticks. There's a port for headset as well.
The bottom line is, I can do everything on this stick that I can on my custom stick, and I would be satisfied using it for fighting games.
As a side note, Tekken 6 automatically recognizes the stick, and configures buttons for it without you having to change it yourself. Convenient.

-Artbook:
The artbook is full sized hardcover, measuring approximately 8.25x11.25 inches and containing roughly 100 pages.
It is divided into three sections, character CG renders (~34 pages), characters' history (basically CG renders of characters in previous installments of Tekken, ~22 pages), and character concept sketches(~38 pages). The sketches are the most interesting part of the book to me. Most of the sketches are colored, and there are definitely some great stuffs there. I only wished that section was larger, but still this is certainly one of the better art books that come with various game CE/LE bundles.
Unfortunately, the cover of the artbook is NOT the image you see here on Amazon, which is really too bad, as I would prefer the cover that's shown on Amazon. Instead, the actual cover is composed of the words "Tekken" (in Kanji) over a white background.

I think if you're a Tekken fan without a stick, this bundle is definitely worth it. The only concern I have is the long term durability of the stick - if other hori sticks are anything to go by, you might have to take good care of it in order to extend its longevity.

i bought this for $100 when it released and I felt that was a bargain. i had a wired hori ex2 stick that went out on me after two years of heavy use (one button, can be repaired) and i wanted to get a replacement stick with 8 buttons and wireless- this was the perfect choice. buttons feel great, stick feels great. extremely light, very portable, no wireless lag that i have noticed. the stick and buttons do seem to be made of a material that gets dirty very quickly, but this is easily remedied. essentially i bought this bundle for the stick, the game is secondary and i have not paid it much attention. the stick is great for not only fighting games, but casual games that don't require dual stick input (puzzle games or retro arcade games for example). a great purchase and a steal for <$100.

I won't get into how amazing Tekken is, but if this is still $66 then don't hesitate. The game alone is $59.99, so you're basically getting the joystick and an art book for $6 and some change. Also, the XBOX 360 controller is terrible for fighting games, so this is really the only way to go.

I bought this for $68 here. Basically, it was 35 dollars for the wireless fight stick and about 30 for the game. Great package, great game, even better art book, and excellent controller. It is well worth the money you would spend. This controller is easy to disassemble and customize if you aren't into how it "works". The only downside is that the controller takes ONLY AA batteries (will not take rechargeable Xbox batteries or external power supply). This game is easy enough to pick up and play for first timers and everything you could want for fans since the blocky first King of Iron Fist Tournament, like me. (Remember the really big case they used to come in with a foam insert???)

*If you are into achievements on the Xbox- all for this game are offline!!

I'm not a hardcore fighting gamer but I gotta admit I was afraid of the stick breaking in pieces while using it.
I made up my mind based on some reviews and I picked hori stick Tekken 6 edition vs Madcatz SF4 SE. I'm way satisfied with it since fighting games really come to life and you can improve your skills easily. Besides, I find it really nice to play wirelessly on top of my lap from my bed and the stick doesn't move at all. Probably because I go easy on it and don't get overenthusiastic. For pro gamers it will be a problem definitely. The responsiveness of the control is great. no lag whatsoever.
I understand that Madcatz might be better built but this is a nice option for casual gamers like me too.
Loved the artbook that came along with the box, and the box itself makes it appealing.

Thanks Amazon for your efficiency. I received my product sooner than expected once more and it came in perfect conditions. Great job.

I am not a fighting game connoisseur. In fact, I haven't played a fighting game with any regularity since playing Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance with my college roommates way back in 2002. So, I approach this review as a noob fighter.

I picked up Super Street Fighter IV on sale a few months ago, and found I just couldn't play the game with the standard Xbox 360 controller. It it just not designed for the inputs necessary for a fighting game. So, I started looking around for a fighting stick to improve my game. After doing a lot of research, I settled on the Tekken 6 bundle for several reasons:

1) Hori has a good reputation.
2) Since I'm just dipping my toes in the fighting game waters, I wasn't willing to spend $150+ on a stick with real arcade parts.
3) It comes with Tekken 6! Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I was very in love with Tekken 3 on my PS1, and returning to the series has high nostalgia value for me.

Now, I should say that when I first received the stick, the joystick was busted. In the Xbox menu, the "down" position on the joystick would not register at all; in Tekken, the "down" position registered as being always on. This was very annoying. But, the return process was pretty painless and I received a new stick in just a couple days.

The new stick I received works great. To my noob hands, it feels worlds above using a controller. I am now pulling off combos and Hadoukens with ease. The joystick does have a noticeable "dead zone"-- that is, in a neutral position, there is some wobble before the stick will actually register an input. The buttons are slightly mushy, but in the heat of a fight I don't really notice too much. All in all, if you're new to fighting games and don't want to spend lots of money on an arcade-equipped stick, I think this is your best deal. One day I might get real ambitious ad mod it out with Sanwa parts, but for now it does the job very nicely.

As for Tekken 6, after 13 years I still really dig this series. I would say the difference between Tekken and Street Fighter is that SF is very "special move" driven and focused on controlling space, while Tekken is more combo-driven. In Tekken, each button corresponds to a limb on your fighter: left hand, right hand, left foot, right foot. Every fighter has a different rhythm, and once you get used to their tempo, you can kind of "improv" combos. This system feels much more intuitive to me than SF's bevy of special moves, which require a lot of practice and memorization.

So, my final verdict: Great value, and an ideal entry point to the new generation of fighting games for the casual fan.

I bought this for my son for his birthday. The game is awesome and the graphics are amazing! Tekken was one of my all time favorite games back in the PS1 days. Sure things have changed, but that should be expected with todays technology. The fight stick is awesome as well. Unlike using the controller, your hands aren't tired after playing for 30 minutes or longer. The pad sits perfectly in your lap which is a big plus. If you are looking for a great fighting stick, go with this package. I bought it when Amazon had the Limited Edition for like $35 and it was well worth it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for what you're paying for!, June 29, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

This review is from: Tekken 6 Limited Edition Wireless Fight Stick Bundle (Video Game)
For the price of this if you're expecting A+ quality, then this isn't the stick for you. A friend of mine has one of the nice $150 controllers and of course you get what you pay for. In comparison this stick doesn't feel as durable as the more expensive ones out there, the more expensive ones feel like a tank, this one feels light and very "plastic-y" you kind of feel like you don't want to drop this thing too many times.
But that is the only draw back to this fighting stick. For what you're paying for I feel you're getting more then what you bargained for. I just got this in the mail today and I have been playing with it all day and here's my conclusion on how I feel. I've played at least 5 hours today with it using standard alkaline Duracell batteries and it still has some life left in it. I've played several games with it, Soul Caliber 4, Tekken 6, SSF4, Mortal Kombat and classics like the Genesis collection and PacMan C.E. and haven't experienced a single issue what so ever. I also play 10-12 feet away and had no connection issues as well. The final thing is a preference issue, I'm use to playing with standard arcade sticks and buttons that "click" I've done so much that I prefer it. If you're into smooth non clicking stick this isn't for you.
So in short:
Cons: Feels a bit light not very durable. If you don't like the kind of Joystick and buttons that click this isn't for you.
Pros: Layout of controller is comfortable and everything is very responsive does what it's supposed to do, works flawlessly. Battery life lasts long as well. Worth what you're paying for.

I`m not a big tekken fan but I ordered this bundle in order to get the fight stick. The game is actually decent for a fighting game. Not a graphical powerhouse, but its a competent fighter none the less. Online play suffers from lag, but fans of fighters are generally used to this kind of thing. The fight stick is pretty good... Not Street Fighter TE good, but good. Its great for people just getting into to fight sticks, as it is inexpensive and relatively sturdy. It is a wireless stick, but there is no input lag what so ever. Unlike the PS3 counterpart, you need a separate adapter to use this with your pc. It is basically an xbox wireless controller only in a arcade stick format. For $60, this stick is a steal.
