This review is from: Tekno 2.0 Boomer the Robotic Puppy (Toy)
Bought this for my niece for her 7th birthday. She absolutely loves him. He is a real dog, not a toy she says. She has had him for a month now and still plays with him every day because he is her dog. Definitely pull out the instructions first as they tell you how to get the dog out of the box - thanks to previous reviews for that tidbit. Being a high strung first grader, my niece overwhelmed Boomer a bit in the beginning with repeated commands and trying trick after trick until he was tired of it but after the initial bombardment, she works really well with him & is amazed that he will come to her when she calls him etc... It is a cute toy and I think it was a great gift. She had ask for some other electronic pet she'd seen on TV but I did not wish to spend the money for it based on the reviews of others so I spent a little more on this guy and he was a total hit. I even have to talk to him and watch his tricks when we Skype! I think a child too much older might get bored with him after a bit and I don't think I would go younger than 5 or so but I would recommend him for kids age 5-10.
