Bought this elsewhere, but am amazed at the quality and ease of use. Perfect for my GL450, which is difficult to add a brake module, but came with factory hitch and wiring for trailer. Europeans use more surge brakes so don't seem to care about electric brake systems. BMW and Audi also make it difficult to add an electric brake controller to many models.
15 minutes to mount this on my trailer, 5 minutes to pair the remote control, on the road in 20 minutes!!
A fantastic unit and no need to add wiring or any underdash items to my GL, just have a cool remote with full control over all the trailer braking functions.

Great product, works excellent, is easy to install,and easy to program. Took about 20 minutes to install and program. Very handy with new cars and trucks that have no where to mount a controller. Another advantage over dash mounted controllers is that you have brakes with any tow vehicle. Brakes work smoothly with no jerking or locking up.

My 2011 Volvo XC60 was not, according to the dealer, able to be set up to tow a trailer with electric brakes (as required by federal law). Tekonsha solved this problem with the Prodigy RF. It meant no wiring connections to the vehicle brake circuits were necessary. This meant that the sophisticated computer interface and the multiplex wiring in the Volvo would not be disturbed. Just buy the Volvo cwiring harnerr, plug it into a 7 pin Bargmann connector, run a 12 volt fused line from the battery and the Tekonsha is ready to go - it was plug and play - and works extremely well. The support staff at Tekonsha were very helpful and very knowledgeable. This product is worth 6 stars!

I have been a long time fan of Land Rover Products, truly a multipurpose vehicle. They always have at least a 7500lb tow capacity but have always had no good set up for brakes, same system in BMW X5 and other euro vehicles. In my last Range Rover I wired in the normal prodigy controller, after about 4 hours tracking down the proper wire to avoid interference from all the light control computer issues and I finally got it. I just acquired a new Range Rover I installed this system in 30 minutes flat just got back from a 5000 mile trip the controller was absolutely amazing and truly the best towing accessory I have EVER purchased.

Very happy with this product. I did a lot of research on brake controllers, and this one works great for what I needed. If you don't want a controller always mounted to your dash, want to be able to trailer with yours or someone else's truck (like my girlfriend's), and want an all around great brake controller. This is it! Have never had interference, or anything like that. For me, it's definitely worth the extra money for a wireless one.
