Value and performance,

This review is from: Tektro Alloy Canitlever Road Bicycle Brake Levers - Pair - CR720 (Misc.)
They stop real well and have better modulation than a lot of narrow type cantis. With cantis, the performance depends on the setup more than the design. these were a good price and much nicer than the '88 shimano brakes i had on before.

miss leading title,

This review is from: Tektro Alloy Canitlever Road Bicycle Brake Levers - Pair - CR720 (Misc.)
First of all this product is miss titled. It's not a "pair" as in front AND back, the "pair" refers to left and right arms of the canti break set.
the vendor i bought it from BikeSomeWhere also took there sweet time sending it out. It took about week for them to get it out the door and when they did send it out they sent the wrong color. Besides all that, the CR720's are great canti breaks. easy to install (as far as canti's go), easy to adjust and have a good bite to them when set up right. *note* you must use short pull break levers or road levers for cantilever breaks to work properly. I have some avid speed dial mountain bike levers pair with these breaks and jagwire connecting them. four star breaks zero stars for the inconvenience. |
