Great way to improvew ride comfort,
This review is from: Tektro Road Aero Bicycle Brake Levers, Standard R200 (Misc.)
If your riding an older bike, these are a cheap replacement for you old brake levers that will make a world of difference. They pull the same, but they're so much more comfortable its amazing. And for so little, how can you say no

An excellent option for those vintage bikes when you can't find the exact model gum hood for the obscure Dia-Compe model. I've tried cheaper (Nashbar) levers, and the quality is poor. These are solid. The quick release option, stolen straight from Campy, is something that every lever should have. My one complaint: I'm a small-hands kind of guy (I know Tektro makes a short-reach version), and the hoods on these are wide. STI-size wide. Much more so than any other brake lever I've used. Buy I won't quibble.

I bought these to replace my old Shimano levers because I couldn't find replacement hoods. My old hoods were the consistancy of "silly putty". I read some good reviews on these so bought them. They are plastic bodies, so they are more bulky to compensate for them not being metal. They are pretty good quality, and work well. They are pretty "fat" in my hands and it will take a while to get used to that. Overall, they seem to be pretty good. I've pulled pretty hard on them on hills and no breakage. Actually, the connecting brackets appear to be a little higher quality than my Shimanos. They do look a heck of a lot better than my "silly putty" hoods and now I feel like I'm riding a new bike! (yeah, right....) If you need new hoods or levers, these will work- but be prepared for the fatness....
