3.0 out of 5 stars works but might need longer screw, January 6, 2010
This review is from: Tektro Brake Cable Hanger (Misc.)
I used this on a CX bike I built in 2009. The idea behind this hanger is to reduce the squeal-inducing movement which happens when the cable is hung from above the steerer tube. This hanger keeps the cable's anchor near to the brakes, which reduces the flex, and reduces the unwanted cable pull caused by the flexing of the forks and steerer tube.

In that it worked well.

I was worried from its design that it might not stay upright under tight braking, but it hasn't budged.

However the mounting screw which come with this product was too short for the fork, and I had to find a longer screw which worked. No big deal but just something to note.

Looks-wise it is more functional than pretty.
