I ordered this for a steel touring bike frame that I'm building up to use as a commuter bike. The part is nicely finished and looks pretty sturdy, but the mounting bolt it came with turned out to be too short. I found a longer bolt at my local big-box hardware store but the bolt head doesn't fit into the cavity at the front of the bracket. I supposed I could file it down but this is getting to be too much of a hassle. I'll probably go with a traditional hanger off the steerer tube instead.

This is a much higher quality item than the photo on Amazon led me to believe. The finish looks much better than I was expecting, the anchor bolt is very high quality with an excellent nylock nut and it even came with a sweet little optional reflector mount. This stop would look good even on a pro level bike.

This hanger will allow the use of Cantilever brakes with Rock Shox forks that don't have the built in brake hanger! Just buy a 6mm bolt to attach it to your forks, and go riding!

After replacing my old Suspension Fork, I realized that the Cantilever brakes needed a Cable Stop in order to be pulled straight up. A quick search found this item and I quickly ordered it and it worked like a charm. But after changing my brakes again... now I don't need this housing stop. So, I will save it for another use.

Cable hanger totally stops shuddering on the front fork of my cross bike. I needed a special nut to make it work and Niagra couldn't have been more helpful.

good product, saved me from buying a new fork with a cantilever brake housing already on it. I used this on a v-brake only suspension fork by bolting it through the reflector hole. Use some locktite on the threads and it is very secure. If it doesn't hold I will tack weld the housing to the bridge of the fork.

I had to replace a mountain bike suspension fork on an old bike that had cantilever brakes. New forks don't have a cable stop for canti brakes, but this Tektro part can be bolted on and used with the cantilever system. Just what I needed, fast delivery too.
