Below is my review of each of the product's selling points:

► EASY TO INSTALL/JUST PEEL & STICK - I do not recommend using the adhesive that comes with the light. We originally tried to install it this way but it didn't hold, so we used nails instead.
► WIRELESS - True. This product requires 4 AA batteries to operate.
► STAYS BRIGHT FOR 100,000 HOURS - I'm not sure how long these last, as I've only had the product about a week. That being said I do know LEDs have longer life than other bulbs.
► INDOOR OR OUTDOOR - I assume this works well both indoors and outdoors, since we've had it on our deck for a week in rain and shine. I may move it down to the basement during the winter.
► 7 SUPER BRIGHT LEDs - I would not call them "super" bright. They were adequate for lighting up our deck but did not extend beyond, and was not bright enough to be the sole source of light if we needed to spend any time outside. That being said, it serves the purpose of lighting it up more than well enough as a temporary light source.
► PIVOTS - This feature works well. It's not difficult to move and stays put once you've placed it in the position you need.
► 360 DEGREE SWIVEL BASE - This also works well. Again, not difficult to maneuver and stays put.
► MOTION SENSOR - This feature has worked very well. We haven't had any issues with the light not turning on when expected.

My Final Word:
Overall, this product works as advertised except for two very important features: the brightness and the installation. Considering these are two of the biggest selling points, I had to rate this product 3 stars.

That being said, this product is a great deal for the cost, as I can see it being very useful indoors such as large closets, hallways (especially with young children), and basements. Most lights for indoor spaces require you to turn them on/off (no motion sensor) and I can see this being really useful. Also, it does work very well to light up our deck when we walk the dog. The placement features (pivoting/swiveling) and the motion sensor also work well and as advertised.

I bought one of these the other day at a local retail store because I do that. I see this AS SEEN ON TV stuff and I go "Oh, that's neat. I wonder if it actually works". This one isn't horrid. I paid $12 bucks for it in a store so don't bother buying it here apparently. Is it the brightest? No. Is it the cheapest? No. But being an owner of WAY too many touch lights, IR LED bars, motion lights, fancy night lights, da da da da duh, I have learned that brighter products either use larger size/number of batteries, are rechargeable = expensive by comparison, or just plain burn through batteries faster. Cheaper...well, you're on your own there for those opinions. Look, it's motion sensing as well as light sensing so it won't go off when the lights are on, yay. It tilts and swivels in its base, yay. For the money and the convenience of using AA batteries, not D like another product that another customer talked about, I'm not gonna give it too much flak. It does work best in light colored areas; laundry rooms, bathrooms, closets, stairways - yes, and maybe garages in multiples. This is not a porch light. You want this for outside, accept the fact that you're paying less than $20 for it and its gonna have to be mounted at knee level. I posted a picture of the light mounted in my basement bathroom for real world demonstration.

I ordered a Light Angel after seeing the TV commercials, and installed it over the door to my back deck, so it would come on when my dog went through her doggie door. It does come on when she triggers it but the light is so dim I had to go to the door (a French door with windows) to even tell if it was on....the light is so, so, so dim, nothing at all like the almost spotlight in the commercial, it is better than nothing.

they don't shut off like they advertise it in a few minutes...also, they fall off the house and don't stick like they advertise it.

I received the Light Angel from the manufacturer and was asked to provide a honest, unbiased, unpaid review of it. I wanted to like the Light Angel as in theory, it would be an inexpensive solution to a dark walkway or doorway, outside or inside. Unfortunately in practice, it doesn't work consistently enough to be trusted as a real solution to that problem.

The instructions are minimal. How to put the batteries (4 AA) in the back compartment (with a very small Philips head screwdriver), and mounting instructions. The directions are easy to follow, but provide no troubleshooting - which for me, was needed.

For operation, you install the batteries, making sure they are properly oriented and the light is switched to 'on'. There's a rubber covered on/off switch below the battery compartment. Then take it into a dark room (the instructions say a dimly lit area is needed for testing...) and wave your hand in front of the sensor below the light. The sensor is about 1/2 the size of a golf ball and clearly visible. The light itself is 7 LED lights clustered in the circular front of the Light Angel.

What I found happened was that if the light went on, it was tough to get it to go off! No mention of how long until the lights would go off was in the Instruction Guide. Even flipping the switch to Off and then back to On, didn't reset the device. I resorted to taking out the batteries and managed to do it, but since I can't do that every time I use it, it was a bit of a problem.

The sensitivity of the motion sensor was intermittent. Sometimes the light didn't come on at all, despite waving my hand in front of the sensor in a dark room. It's possible I received a faulty item, but assuming it's OK and working as it should, I was disappointed in the performance of this feature.

I can still use the light by turning it on and off, but again, I'm not sure how long the light will stay on. Continuing to test that one.

The build quality of the item is on par with a similar item with a price about half that of this item's retail price. It's not substantial and would probably not weather dramatic shifts in outdoor temperatures and/or humidity.

The mounting of the Light Angel via a sticky pad that takes up to 24 hrs to bond to a surface, is acceptable, but not great. The mounting bracket also has traditional screw anchor points, but no screws were included with the packaging. I ask myself 'why not'?

If the operation of the item was as advertised, I'd think this was 'OK', but as it stands I don't like it. Thus I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

Zero stars. Did not work out of the box. Flimsy and cheap. Waste of $10. The bracket cannot even hold the weight of the light. Poor design.

At first I was thrilled with this item and it worked as described with the only caveat being the need to screw the cover on the battery compartment. After 2 weeks and minimal usage, the light just flickered when activated and eventually none of the lights lit up. I thought it was just the cheap batteries that came with the unit, but fresh Duracells failed to resolve the problem. What a crappy product! Don't waste your money !

Returning it - it seems to be defective - no matter what I try it will not light. It is worthless to me. I needed the light for security and this does not fill the bill....
