This book is a solid piece of work, comprehensive, and very high quality.
I understand it is used as a standard textbook at many organizations, ranging from the US Marine Corps Communication School in Quantico VA to Vertek in the green mountains of Vermont as well as by thousands of individuals. Recommended!

This book distills 25 years of knowledge gained in Engineering school, working for some of the biggest names in the business and teaching hundreds of training courses on the topics. Amazingly comprehensive and totally up to date. I think it's a great book for someone needing to get up to speed, fill in gaps and as a day to day reference on telecommunications, data communications, IP, wireless, VoIP, MPLS and networking.
