This review is from: Telecommunications Deregulation (Artech House Telecommunications Library) (Hardcover)
The book is most useful as a source of references. A wide range of planning tools and techniques are mentioned, but treated in very small depth, and the text denotes little practical experience of the author in the management of true corporations, as when he states that ''The planning of strategy to identify a firm's mission, goals and objectives, ..., represents the difference between success and failure in today's environment'' (sic). There's certainly much more to success and failure in real world corporations than that. The reprint of the Telecommunications Acts of 1996 and 1934 occupies almost half of the book.

This review is from: Telecommunications Deregulation (Artech House Telecommunications Library) (Hardcover)
The book is very useful to understand economical impact on Telecommunication market of the 1996 Act. I recommend it if You are interested on regulatory aspects of telephony but also if You are a technician that does not dislike macroeconomics. Working in the European telephony industry I found it useful to compare US and EU markets and regulation authorities. I hope the author will publish on Internet regulation and on EU markets too.
