5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Backgrounder on Telecom OSS, March 26, 2007
By
This review is from: Telecommunications Network Management Into the 21st Century (Hardcover)
I'm a market analyst who has been tracking the OSS/BSS marketplace for a number of years, so I've seen my fair share of network management treatises.

While this book is more than a decade old, it includes some wonderful insights and diagrams that have not been replicated in other sources. One of the authors remains a top level OSS architect at Verizon.

In particular, I liked the map of network management functions -- and related OSS definitions -- in the first chapter. It's clearer and more intuitive than any OSS map I've seen so far.
