You can invest in other stylish kitchen faucet filtration systems, but all you are doing is throwing your money away. We bought our first Waterpik system when we lived in coastal Georgia. Our water had a sulpher taste to it, though I was later told it was actually clay that added to the potent flavor. We bought a simple Waterpik filter and it the difference in the water was night and day.

The challenge has been in sometimes finding replacement cartridges for the unit. At one point I had to replace the Waterpik all together and ended up buying other fancy white or silver color name brand filters, but they just did not do the job that the Waterpik did. The two main detractors from these other popular systems are that the filter cartidges are very expensive and do not last as long as Waterpik. Additionally the filtered water flow through those overpriced cartridges slows after only a few weeks to point where it takes several minutes to fill a small sauce pan. Mind you the indicator light on the unit still flashed green while the filter grudgingly filtered a trickle of water.

By quirk of fate the more expensive filter began leaking water and I stumbled across a store selling the less glamorous, but more efficient, Waterpik. When I bought the replacement Waterpik I also bought a box of four replacement filters, a supply that pretty much lasted a year. However, when it came time to replace my last filter I found store shelves once again empty of Waterpik replacements. Some of these same stores listed Waterpik replacement filters available on their on-line catalogs, but none were to be found on the actual merchandise shelves. I located a vendor on this website and ordered a box of filters for less than I would have had to pay in the store. Now I am set for the rest of the year.

I know the other faucet units look nice and some allow you to add flavoring to the water, but the Waterpik unit is the better choice.

I live in an area that has water that leaves an aftertaste so filtration is a big plus especially since we roast, grind and brew our own green coffee beans. Nothing can ruin a good cup of coffee quicker than funky water. I actually started out six years ago using this filter until I went to my local Lowes to get replacement filters and they no longer carried. I was unable to get filters so I went with another brand.

Skip forward about three years and the other brand while tasting good was so danged slow filtering the water after a few gallons it got to be a chore and before spending $51.99 for six new filters and after finding these and the faucet atttchment on Amazon I decided to go back to the Teledyne/Instapure.

The new R-2C filter and eight of these replacement cartridges cost me over six dollars less than six replacement filters of the other brand and have the capacity to filter over 1,200 gallons of additional water.

In addition the Instapure faucet filter is smaller, operates easier and looks more attractive than the other faucet filter. My wife likes that and when I asked her about the water she said I can't taste it and that is what we want.

Figure up the economics for the price of six competitor filers you can get twelve of these with the capacity to filter 2.400 gallons or 1,800 more gallons than the other and get to KEEP over $10.00 in your pocket.

I admit the other brand can filter out slightly more chlorine - 96% versus 92% but you can't taste the difference and considering it would cost you over $300.00 to filter the same amount of water $41.97 with the facuet attatchment $27.98 without does with the Instapure guess which brand I am happiest with.

I have been using this product for the pastt 15 years. It has served me well especially in old house in brooklyn until the replacement of pipes. Water is clear with no chemical taste. These iflters are becoming increasingly difficul to find so availability on Amazon is wonderful. I now know where to stock up.

I am glad I was able to find these. This is an effective and inexpensive filtration system. Removes chlorine odor and taste quite well.

With Prime, I had the filters in a couple of days. Easier than going to a shop and trying to find the right filter.

This is the most inexpensive water filter system. It is good for places that have clean water like NY. The other filters like pur an brita have the multi stage filter, which over filter my water. I just need the chlorine and other minor contaminates removed. If you live in an area where you water if highly contaminated then this filter would not be good enough for you.

I used to have a waterpick, but it was ridiculously hard to change the filter for me. This filter is just an easy twist and you are done. You also get to see how dirty the filter is due to the clean plastic casing. So you do not need an led light to tell you if it is dirty.

No doubt will buy again when needed. Bought this 4 pack of filter cartridges at the same time as a Instapure faucet filter, so I'm set for over a year and the cartridges were just as cost effective as the Instapure filter.

We're been using this kind of filter since 2007. It really clean and remove odor from water. We were using an expensive kind of filtering before so I switched to save money. They work the same as the expensive brands. I even bought a set for my mother in law so they don't have to buy bottled water anymore. The filter is easy to install and since the cartridge is so cheap, I can change my filter as often as I like but it can really last 6 months and it's still good. We have a water testing kit.

I am so glad that you carry this product. I used to be able to buy it in the store. They no longer carry it.
