Customer Reviews

I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a lung volume exerciser.
Chris F
The AirLife is smaller and therefore will be better to take with me when traveling and the Voldyne 5000 is a little more challenging so better to use at home.
Susan
It is very handy, it does actually help and I can already see the improvement in breathing.

Myself and Mrs. Featherpicker have COPD. This little apparatus was suggested as an aid to increase lung power. The one the doctor recommended as approx. 3 times the cost of this one. The exact machine (different mfg.) but the same machine! Of course I got this one. I already had one from a while back and now both of us have this handy item. It is very handy, it does actually help and I can already see the improvement in breathing. Excellent price and packaging, quick delivery. Thank you Amazon.

I am an athlete and train regularly and I had the flu and bronchitis this January and was bedridden for 2 weeks. I used it for about 2 weeks to get my lungs to open up again and it works.

This item was purchased for my 17 year old granddaughter to strengthen lungs for voice lessons. Her voice teacher recommended it. Its a wonderful product at a good price.

great product
have increased my volume from 1400 to 2500 in 30 days, and as an asthmatic that means something. Now I can sing without taking a breath every three words. And run more than 3 minutes with out catching my breath.

Having smoked for 40 years - and quit 4 years ago - I wanted to increase my lung capacity as I found that my breathing is still quite shallow.

I bought 3 different spirometers:

the Hudson TriFlo II Incentive Deep Breathing Exerciser Spirometer,
the Cardinal Health AirLife Volumetric Incentive Spirometer and
the Voldyne 5000 Volumetric Exerciser.

Of the 3, I prefer the AirLife and the Voldyne 5000 - which are both very good. The Hudson TriFlo II was much smaller than I expected, did not have good directions and was too easy for me to use on the 1st day. The AirLife and the Voldyne 5000 are excellent. The AirLife is smaller and therefore will be better to take with me when traveling and the Voldyne 5000 is a little more challenging so better to use at home. But the differences between the usefulness of the AirLife and the Voldyne 5000 are minimal, so I would recommend both.

Just what I was looking for - easy to understand directions included that inform you, by age, your breathing volume. Can't beat the price - Easy to clean mouth piece that detaches -well worth the purchase

This is the same as the hospital'a version we got. It is a good product too, to show my anatomy class how an inspiration spirometer works.

Easy to use -- hard to get a high mark on the actual lung capacity test. Useful but demanding tool.
