Trio Recorder Sonatas,
By Kevin Anderson (Australia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Telemann: Trio Sonatas with Recorder /Boeckman * Holloway * ter Linden * Mortensen * Assenbaum (Audio CD)
This is an excellent CD for those who love the sound of the recorder. The recorders that are played by Vicki are by the late Fred Morgan. On the CD are 7 sontas all from the TWV 42 collection of sonatas. The opening sonata in g minor is truely a delight to listen to, it starts off with the Soave which leads sweeting into little vivace movement. Vicki's performance not only of the sonata in g minor but of the others as well is of the highest quality and has done an excellent job is reproducing the sounds of the 17th Century
