4.0 out of 5 stars Useful product, June 25, 2008

The concept of this Telemergency Feel SecureTM 750C Remote Answering Emergency Speakerphone with Alarm-CallTM is great. If someone needs help immediately, this system sounds a loud alert (enough for your neighbors to hear) from the base unit along with dialing the phone numbers I pre-programmed. The system calls each phone number consecutively even if it reaches a voicemail or answering machine. It will continue to cycle through the phone numbers until someone answers their phone and dials zero or until someone presses stop on the actual machine.
You need to hold the pendant button for 4 seconds to activate the alert. A red light on the pendant will blink once the alert is activated. There is also a 2-way speakerphone feature that the receiver of the call can use when he/she dials zero on their phone.
Negatives: The instructions were daunting as it wasn't written well. Just be sure to read and follow each step slowly and carefully. Personally, I turned off the 911 feature as I was just looking for a paging system. That allowed me to set up and use the 1st alarm only. I ignored setting up the police and the 3rd alarm option. Another negative, the alarm from the base unit is extremely loud and annoying and there isn't an option to lower the volume or turn it off. I had to place it in another room and tape cardboard over the speaker to muffle and lower the sound.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but major issues with range and setup, October 22, 2009

Quick review:

The unit is somewhat difficult to program and you will get no help from their support line. In fact in 3 days I have been unable to speak with a representative in order to resolve my range issues.

I was able to set the unit up with about an hour of work and a few calls to their automated line which has the correct install info, the three copies of installation information included in the box all neglect the steps included in the phone walkthrough.

I will be returning the product because the range is about 15 feet line of sight from the unit. I tested it with the wireless network turned off as well as with 900mhz and dect6.0 phone systems disabled and still had terrible range. In the instructions it states "for best results place within 15 feet of base" They were not kidding, 20 feet line of sight and the hand held pendant will only trigger the alarm maybe 50% of the time. In an emergency I need a device that will go off when you press the button, pure and simple. not being able to transmit through one wall or more than 20 feet of open space is a deal breaker.

if you buy this thing expect the only reliable method of triggering an alarm to be their automated alarm-call feature and by pressing the buttons on the base unit. Their claim of a 2-way 100 foot range pendant is laughable.

1.0 out of 5 stars I would not trust this product with my parents safety, January 1, 2011

This review is from: Telemergency 750C Emergency Help System with Remote, White (Health and Beauty)
After my father took a fall while my mother wasn't home, and he was unable to get to the phone to call for help, I was looking for something that would remotely call my mother or me to notify us there was an issue. This item sounded like it would do the trick nicely.

Despite the "hard to program" reviews on several models of this Telemergency calling system, I thought I'm pretty handy and can figure this out. I spent about 90 minutes trying to set up several calling numbers before deciding to return this. Phone numbers would be programmed in, and even properly stored when I did the "check" function, but later I would check it again and the numbers were gone. I could never get all the numbers programmed that I wanted to.

My biggest concern was that if it can't store calling numbers properly while I'm setting it up, can I trust it to store them everyday when there is a real emergency? I wasn't willing to take that risk.

Fortunately, returns are easy with Amazon, and I'll keep looking for a similar system that I feel is more reliable.
