How it Works
The Call-4-Help 700 automatically contacts "911" and up to five additional phone numbers of your choice for each of three types of emergencies from any touch-tone service telephone. One simple press of a button on unit can tell the recipient where you are. When an appropriate emergency is activated and the called party's telephone answers, the emergency information message and instructions will be transmitted. The called party, when receiving the emergency, will have the following options available to them: They can activate the controlled speakerphone (which allows them to listen to area where Model 700 unit is), listen to emergency message again, acknowledge they are responding, or all the above.
Unlike many other telemergency devices, the Call-4-Help 700 is limited to the price of the device itself; there are no subscription costs or monthly fees. To use it, you simply connect the unit to your telephone, connect the AC adapter, move power switch to "on," and you're ready to go. The Call-4-Help 700 can even function during power failures.

Automatic 911 and Wireless Features
The Call-4-Help 700 gives you the option to insert automatic "911" into the dialing sequence. Moving the "911" switch to the "on" position will automatically dial "911" first for all emergency types.
The Call-4-Help 700 also features a wireless "help pendant" that can be worn around the neck. This way you can typically activate the Call-4-Help 700 from up to 100 feet by pressing the larger button on the pendant. The pendant also has a small button which is used to cancel any transmission over the telephone line.
When you activate the Call-4-Help 700, the calls placed will be in the sequence you selected. Each time the called party's telephone rings, the beginning of the emergency information message is heard. After the telephone call is answered, the full emergency information message, instructional announcement followed by a "beep tone" are sent. The Call-4-Help 700 will continue dialing all its entered telephone numbers for approximately 15 minutes if a called party does not respond. In other words, once you activate the Call-4-Help 700, it will continue to call your numbers until help is on its way.
The Call-4-Help 700 also includes a room monitor feature that can be operated by the called party, which enables them to listen if the caller is in the vicinity of the base unit. This feature will activate after the beep tone is heard after caller's instructional announcement. Each time the called party presses "1" on their touch-tone telephone, the called party can listen in on the caller for up to 30 seconds. They can increase the listening time by 30 more seconds by re-pressing "1" in order to determine if you are in any kind of physical danger.
The Call-4-Help 700 is powered via an AC adapter but also has a 9-volt alkaline battery back-up in case of power failure.

Call-4-Help comes with emergency medical, fire and burglary messages, and you can personalize your own message and telephone numbers. Call-4-Help can be used on all tone dialing phone systems. It even works on PBX telephone systems that require dialing a 1, 8 or 9 before dialing the number. Includes a pendant for emergencies. Simply press the button on the pendant around your neck to activate your pre-recorded message. The Call-4-Help sends out a duplicated emergency alert message 30 seconds later if a phone has been put down without hanging up, and includes a feature which allows your unit to breakthrough on Caller ID units.

Ok so I'm not exactly the target person this Telemergency is marketed to. I'm 30 and married. However, we frequently rent our guest room to travelers that are visiting and have been looking for a fast and effective way of contacting the police (or fire or ambulance) should the need arise.
This device gives us great peace of mind. We keep the pendant in the night stand in our room and know that should we ever need to call for help it's just one push of a button. The device works great so far, and for us is well worth the money. If you're an elderly person I would totally recommend this, but even for the average person that feels like they'd like a quick and effective way to call for help, this device is worth every penny.

This was very hard to program! I recommend you have someone with alot of patience if you plan on using this! When my machine finally arrived, it was used! The whole right side of it had been scrapped up against something. I just decided to keep it and it does work..... but it was alot of time and energy!

The 700 did not work right out of the box.
Wasted several hours, before I determined the unit did not work. The manufacture has no direct line, could not talk to any. The Amazon company I purchased the unit from offered no support. Telemergency Pro-Elite 700C with Wireless Help Pendant
