5.0 out of 5 stars Instantaneous Travel Made Easy, April 22, 2002
This review is from: Teleportation How to Guide : From Star Trek to Tesla (Paperback)
Have you ever dreamed of being somewhere, anywhere, in the blink of an eye? When you watch old episodes of "Star Trek," do you envy the ease with which Captain Kirk and company are "beamed" down to a waiting planet below? If so, then you should surely enjoy "Teleportation: A How-To Guide" by the winning team of Commander X and Tim Swartz.

The authors have managed to cover the subject of teleportation in more depth than you might have thought possible. Everything from the latest findings in the New Physics to tales of 19th Century spiritualists and their apparently supernatural ability to move objects from one place to another using only the power of their minds are chronicled in this lively and intelligent examination of a subject that both appeals to the imagination and challenges the intellect.

Commander X and Swartz address the "Star Trek" comparisons early in the book. While the authors readily admit that we are still light years away from developing anything even remotely resembling the science fiction technology used in the old television program, some of the strange theoretical problems are evident even now. For instance, if we ever do develop a machine that can take our bodies apart atom by atom and then reassemble them somewhere else, mustn't we also transfer the life essence, what you might call the soul, that animates our bodies? From the outset, there are so many obstacles in our path if we take the technology route that it hardly seems worth pursuing.

Which is why the authors begin to make their case for mastering the science of teleportation with our minds instead. In a chapter called "Practical Teleportation," a series of meditations and mental exercises are offered to the beginner as a means of freeing the soul and even the body from the constraints of time and space and traveling instantly to any desired destination. Will the techniques described by the authors actually work? Only time and patience and practice can answer that question, but the chapter is still fascinating reading nonetheless.

Also fascinating are the many stories and anecdotes the authors relate regarding real life experiences with teleportation. The aforementioned spiritualists have extremely interesting case histories, as do the many UFO abductees who are frequently teleported from their cars and bedrooms into waiting spaceships nearby. Commander X also recounts his own personal experience as a government intelligence agent assigned to learn to fly a recovered UFO at Area 51 using only the power of his mind. While he achieved only partial success, the chapter goes a long way toward making the many rumors about Area 51 seem palpably real.

The infamous Philadelphia Experiment, in which a 1943 military effort to achieve invisibility for a Navy battleship went horribly awry, is the subject of another chapter. The battleship being used for the experiment did indeed become invisible, but it was also inadvertently teleported to a shipyard in Norfolk, Virginia, many miles away, and left a trail of death and madness in its wake when it reappeared in the Philadelphia Naval Yard several minutes later. There is obviously a dark side to teleportation that should lead us to approach the subject with extreme caution.

Commander X and Tim Swartz have turned in still another excellent performance as co-authors, and "Teleportation: A How-To Guide" is a worthy product of their continuing teamwork. And who knows? Maybe you really can learn to "beam yourself aboard" with a little meditation and practice.

5.0 out of 5 stars I COULD SWEAR I TELEPORTED AFTER READING THIS BOOK, July 13, 2001
This review is from: Teleportation How to Guide : From Star Trek to Tesla (Paperback)
I do believe I had to be among the first to read this book. I am an avid fan of anything Commander X writes. So when I heard there was a new title available for this former military intelligence operative I just had to know what he knows about teleportation -- and how to do it! AND I WAS CERTANLY NOT DISAPPOINTED - I CAN TELL YOU THAT! I know the good Commander has revealed that he once worked for the New World Order inside the notorious Area 51. But this is the first time he has spoken in detail about his job which basicly -- as strange as it might seem -- was to operate a flying saucer built on earth as a pilot . . . but by using the power of the mind. Apparently, Commander X was selected for his high psychic potential. He was able to teleport the earth built flying saucer (based on alien technology,of course) off the ground and then out of the hanger. Others, he says, have been more successful in later experiments and have transported around in the sky above the Nevada desert in the twinkle of an eye. The bottom line is, I tried some of the experiments Commander X lists and I do think they worked for me. Now, I realize that this is a pretty wild state -- and readers will have to decide the possibilities and potentials for themselves. In any regard, TELEPORTATION A HOW TO GUIDE; FROM STAR TREK TO TESLA made for exciting reading. Order a copy [...] and I am sure they will eventually have dozens of copies in stock so you can order it almost overnight!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Commander Does it Again!, August 6, 2001

I must be the second person to buy this book. As soon as I saw it listed, I just had to have it. This book appears to be the third in a series of "How-To" books from Commander X. The others being" "Invisibility" and "Time Travel". Teleportation: A How-To Guide From Star Trek To Tesla is another fine book that is well-written and really full of information on this fascinating subject. Everything from teleportation in science fiction, science fact and unexplained phenomena as related to teleportation is included in this book. There is also a chapter relating Commander X's experiences at Area 51 in the 1980's and his attempts to mentally control a disc-shaped flying machine that appears to travel by teleportation. There is even several sections on how we can develop our mental and spiritual abilities to try and teleport ourselves using our hidden powers. I highly recommend this book because it is well-researched with information that can't be found anywhere else.

Dale

5.0 out of 5 stars FROM ONE PLACE IN SPACE TO ANOTHER. . ., October 1, 2001

I have long suspected that something really weird is taking place inside Area 5l in the Nevada desert. I mean, like most people, I have read the stories about strange aircraft being flown in the night time sky; craft which act and behave totally different than any aircraft we have today. One of the things these aircraft are said to do is move about in the atmosphere without actually traveling from one local to another. They appear to "skip" or "jump" about -- and this is because, according to the author, the military has actually mastered the art of teleportation. It is possible, says Commander X, to actually move about the cosmos in no time at all -- due to the fact that teleportation is no longer a topic solely to be written about in the texts of science fiction novels; but is a reality that will enable us to move about in the universe in split seconds (well actually less time then that). Commander X claims he was part of a top secret program under the direction of the military operating inside of Area 5l to test such craft; and that he managed to move a thousand ton craft off the ground using the power of his mind. As astonding as this all may seem, the author goes one step further in claiming that readers can learn the concepts of teleportation and go from one place to another instantly. Its pretty wild stuff and I am not convinced to say the least -- but Commander X is a good writer and so you will just have to make up your own mind.

Im very pissed that I wasted my money on this, from what I read in the description it seemed to imply that this is a how to book but soon as I got it in the mail to no suprise it was just a bunch of stories, I feel imbarrised that even for a second i thought this might be real and is the only reason I don't demand my money back, unless they remove the part of the title on HOW TO GUIDE I feel it should be removed from all sites and for the remaining books to be tossed into a fire.. BEcause of this stupid book I wasted i don't know how many days waiting for it when I could of been doing something more productive which would be anything other than reading this book AGAIN ill say they should not call it a how to book on how to teleport when thats not at all what it is, and im not the kind of person who usually posts reviews Bad or Good, but this pissed me off so much that I had to be one of those people who write these mean reviews

After reading this book in detail, trying to connect the dots I got my mind set...this book is one of many others out there release to the public from unknow sources w/ the clear intention to push the "collective subconscience" and made this techno. dream come true in the sometime near future(50-100years),so tecnically speaking you are paying for a science fiction book and doing the military and new world order folks a favor just like me,this strategy is a patented idea out of Remote Viewing
Programs and is call Verne effect any question go Google w/ it..
