I'm nearly finished reading this book. It's not the first of Murphy's works that I've read -- his writings attract me because they are very practical applications that anyone can use. He makes no attempt to be mysterious, but explains everything quite clearly and simply. In this book, Murphy actually covers some information on the fourth dimension, or our actual true selves that continue yesterday, today, and forever. Now, I tend to be quite practical about such things. I dream all the time, but usually ascribe very little meaning to these nocturnal meanderings. Some time ago I had a dream in which a wizened old man in a business suit appeared to me and told me that he would tell me how to overcome my financial burdens. I woke up and ascribed all this to an over-active imagination. Many weeks later while reading this book I suddenly felt very strongly that the man I saw in my dream was Murphy. I, of course, decided this could not be the case. I had never even seen a picture of Murphy, so how could I have seen him in a dream? But the feeling persisted. Finally I was compelled to go on the Web and look for a picture of Murphy. I found one, and there was the man from my dream. Make of this what you will, but I believe I was meant to get help through the information Murphy provides. If you are struggling with something, I strongly recommend you read his writings and apply his techniques to your daily life. Once you learn that God is on your side, nothing will be able to stand in your way.

Joseph Murphy has created a true master piece. In this book you will learn more advanced things on telepsychics. This book is surely worth of your time. It is down to earth, and goes hand in hand with The Power of Your Subconscious Mind. It repeats some things, but repating things is sometimes for good.

Whoever you are, what ever your goals, visions, dreams or life circumstances may be, this book is good for you. I personally think that this book is better than the power of your subconscious mind..

Murphy has truly surprised me, and made me to appreciate him as an author. If you have a dream or a goal: Don't listen to people who are trying to tell you something that makes you feel unhappy, or don't know what they are talking about. Listen to Murphy, and what he has to say about creating success.

Murphy tells you some very easy, but yet profound truths on using your subconscious mind and scientific prayer.

This book will be worht of 5 stars if this is your first Murphy book.. if not, then it is only 4.

Although first published in 1973, Telepsychics is a wonderful classic in this field that can change your life. Although written with many Biblical references, this is a book for all spiritual paths. Dr. Murphy doesn't preach or seek to exclude anyone. He simply lays the foundation for self-improvement through the scientific use of prayer concepts as a means of tapping your subconscious powers. The techniques that the author advocates probably aren't like the way you were taught to pray in church, but it seems to me that they are more effective than anything I've ever experienced. The portions of the book on the utilization of dreams are also excellent. I've read several books in this genre and this is one of the best. It will stay in my permanent collection.

Dr. Murphy is the king of repetition. Each chapter basically asserts a simple principle and then employs several illustrations to buttress that principle. At the end of the chapter he recaps by detailing the priniciple and the illustrations again in the form of a summary. This can seem tedious, yes, but what it really does is drive home the point that if we simply change the way we think and perceive things, we can in fact change our world.

After awhile I got used to (and understood) the use of repetition, though I must say I *never* got used to Dr. Murphy's incessant use of footnotes to promote his other books. Never once did he footnote an outside source---which annoyed me. Then again, footnotes in general annoy me, because they break the reader's concentration. To do so just to sell more books was, to me, a little distasteful.

Generally speaking, though, I like Telepsychics because Dr. Murphy got the principles right. They work if you try them, no matter your religious inclination, period. It's not rocket science, it's a choice---it's a paradigm shift in one's thinking.

Surely the world would be a better place if we all employed these principles in our day-to-day lives.

this book, along with The powers of your Subconscious Mind are self enabling. A pragmatic method of actualizing all the needs and goals of both spitritual and worldly wants and needs. Buy this book as a guide for health, wealth, and enlightenment.

This is frist review and I am writing it becuse I think this book is so important and it can change your life if you let what he has to say sink in. I would have to say this is one of his greatest works. I love all Joseph Murphy's books because they are all good. If you need a gook book then get this one.

Here the book that all human of the world need to be a perfect example to succes towards each others! This is the best Author I ever read for any self help!

Pray for guidance. All you need to remember is that your thought causes the Infinite Power to respond; you are dealing with a reciprocal action-and-reaction: as you sow you reap, and as you call you receive an answer.

Every picture that you create in your mind, particularly when emotionalized, comes to pass.

Information you seek, knowledge required, or business difficulties solved may be achieved simply by asking God, or Infinite Power, for the answer. Remember: the quiet mind receives the answer.

The law indicates that what you think, you create; what you feel, you attract; and what you imagine, you become.

Any thought you feel as true is impressed upon your subconscious mind (the law), and your subconscious in turn expresses whatever is impressed upon it - Good, Bad, or Indifferent.

The nature of Infinite intelligence within you is to respond to the nature of your call. If you do not recognize the wisdom within you, it is just the same as if it were not there.

Whatever you're conscious mind really believes and accepts as true, your subconscious mind will bring forth consistently as form, function, experience and events. Your subconscious mind accepts your conviction, whether true or false, as it reasons deductively only. If you give it a false suggestion, it will assume the correctness of your premise and dramatize the result accordingly.

There is a wisdom and infinite intelligence within you that far transcends your intellect and ego, or your five senses. It is always responsive to your recognition, faith and expectancy. Your subconscious, responds according to your belief.

Every man answers his own prayer, whether he is aware of it or not. The reason for this that whatever man believes to be true in his conscious mind is accepted in his subconscious, regardless of whether his belief is true or false.

God is the creator, in your subconscious, which responds to you according to your belief, for that nature of infinite intelligence is responsiveness. Any idea that you emotionalize and feel to be true is impressed in your subconscious, and what is impressed (good or bad) is expressed. This is why every man answers his own prayer. If he believes he can't be healed be healed or that there is no way out of his dilemma, his subconscious responds according to his belief and, in that case in that way, his prayer is answered. Actually, all prayers are answered and there is no thing as an unanswered prayer. Nourish your desire with faith and expectancy.
The Law is that you become what you claim and feel to be true. In other words, you are what you contemplate and incorporate into your subconscious

To believe is to accept something as true. The cause is your conscious mind's belief, and the effect is the response from your subconscious.

Fear and worry attract loss. Faith and confidence in the law of mind attract all the blessings in life. Place your faith and confidence in the indwelling God-Presence

Your subconscious seeks to protect you at all times, but you must listen to its inner prompting, monitions and urges

You do everything by faith, such as driving your car, baking a cake, making a telephone call or playing the piano. You developed your faith in riding a bicycle by repeating a certain thought pattern and muscular act over and over again, after a while your subconscious assimilated the pattern, thus enabling you to do it automatically. Some call this second nature, which is the automatic reaction of your subconscious to your conscious thinking and acting. Action and reaction are cosmic and universal

A good point to remember also is that all the water in the ocean will not sink even a small ship if the water doesn't get inside it. Likewise, all the problems, challenges and difficulties you may have cannot sink you as long as they do not get inside you.

The subconscious does not accept idle affirmations, but it does accept her conscious mind's beliefs and convictions.

Learn to respect your thoughts. Remember that your happiness, success, peace of mind and accomplishments in life are determined by your habitual thinking. Thoughts execute themselves. Your thought is a mental vibration and definite power, and your actions, expressions and experiences are the result of your habitual thinking.
