I forget now how I came across it, but somehow I heard about these guys back in the day and picked up this album. After 10 years or so, I still get a song in my head, and have to put it on.

This is a great low-key shoegazer album. The dual harmonies of Stephen and Joanna are outstanding. In general, they don't rock out too hard ala Ride or Swervedriver: think more along the lines of Velvet Underground/Slowdive/New Zealand pop. Really some breathtaking songs here, particularly "You Set My Soul", "The Presence of Your Grace", and "Splashdown".

If you're pining for the shoegazer days, and haven't discovered these guys, you're really missing out. I was listening to Longwave the other day, and somehow I couldn't help but think they had been telly fans. Also, if you simply enjoy pretty guitar effects, solid songwriting, and great harmonies, you will enjoy this.

Truly a special, forgotten album.
