4.0 out of 5 stars This is a great video alternative. Lively & entertaining!
When my 2 year old received this CD on her birthday, we could not get it out of the CD player. It kept her entertained for hours and made her wonder how she could hear it and not see it. I absolutely recommend this CD to compliment any videos you may already have. It's great. By the way, the adults love it too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Eh-Oh!, May 1, 1999

Pathetically, I am a 58-year-old Teletubby fan (Dipsy, in fact, shares my bedroom but let's say no more of that), and bought this album just for a lark. More listenable than you'd think, and the show's opening sequence translates to C.D. with dynamite. The same melody line is used for almost everything in the show in different ways but this album is like a splash of refreshing lemonade on a sullen day. Oooo, now I'm hungry. Think I'll rustle up some Tubby Toast and some Tubby Custard.

5.0 out of 5 stars May all adult Teletubbies fans unite! This is a winner!, November 19, 1998

I know that there will soon be an article in Psychology Today on adults who are into Teletubbies. If you are one of us then you must have this CD. It really does make you do a "happy dance". Put it on in the morning while you are getting ready for work and your day will be just wonderful! If you are not aware of Teletubbies then purchase this CD and/or watch the show on PBS only if you want to smile or lift yourself from a "bad mood".

I bought this as an import CD months ago when the show first debuted on KCET here in LA.It's a bit disappointing that we don't get to hear more of the TT's cute voices on the sdtk, but you DO get the intro theme song (I think it's tk 8 or 9)...guaranteed to keep the kids entertained (play it in the background) while they are playing indoors!

This CD is excellent and a must have for any parent of a tubbie fan, and the tubbies are purple, yellow, green, and red. Definitely not blue!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Video Alternative, May 21, 2003

My 2 year old is a die hard Teletubbies fan. I bought this CD after reading a review here at Amazon that suggested the music can be a good stand in for a video. To my amazement, it's true. My son is just as happy, if not happier, to listen to the music while playing as if he were watching the show. He will sometimes act out the scenes (he has completely memorized which sequences go with which song). Other times he plays with toys while listening. I'm much happier to see him playing with toys than sitting in front of the TV.

The recording includes both "score" pieces that go with animated segments (animals on parade, the tree, three boats) as well as the more familiar Teletubbies sequences complete with their voices.

Watch out, this recording can really stick in your head. My husband and I torment one another by humming a tune from the CD so that the other will have it stuck in his/her head. Particularly invasive are Dipsy's Hat and Six Dirty Knees. It's tolerable however, and I'm pleased that the score selections are included because they border on new age music and are very relaxing. Also the recording ends with a lullaby and makes a great segueway for suggesting a nap or bedtime.

Do not expect this CD to entertain older children. It really is intended for toddlers who are already quite familiar with the Teletubbies show.

Begging Mr. Verlinde's pardon--but as we can all see, one of the Teletubbies IS blue!
