5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Doctor Who episode guide, December 16, 2003

If you're looking for a 'Doctor Who' episode guide, then you can stop looking as this is by far the best book you can buy about the television series. It's a revised and updated version of the book that was previously released as an official volume from BBC Books some years ago. It contains a synopsis of each story as well as interesting behind-the-scenes details and viewer/fan reaction and opinion. The latter is my favourite part as I find episode guides that steer clear of including opinions of stories to be as dry and boring as dust.

This updated volume also covers appearances of the Doctor and friends on television outside of the series proper, including the K-9 spin-off pilot 'K-9 And Company' and charity specials such as the very entertaining 'The Curse Of Fatal Death' which starred Rowan Atkinson, Richard E. Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley as the Doctor. The coverage for these stories isn't as in-depth as the television series, but it's good to see them featured in this book.

This is an essential purchase for any Doctor Who fan. For coverage of the spin-off books and audio stories, you can also find Lars Pearson's 'I, Who' series elsewhere on Amazon.

I remember stumbling onto this book while walking through Barnes and Noble, and I immediately got it. It is the coolest book ever in regards to Doctor Who, all sorts of information and tidbits that most people never knew is included along with various other details and analyses about the adventures that have been shown during the show's long history on television.

if you are a fan of Doctor, get this book. you'll love it. it may even help inspire you to write your own reviews for some of your favorite and not so favorite Doctor Who adventures.
