5.0 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for, September 3, 2007
This review is from: Tell It to the CEO: How to Write Compelling Executive Summaries and Briefings (Spiral-bound)
For some time, I had been looking for a book with concrete examples of executive summaries. I had no idea that there was a difference between that and executive briefings. The CD was a bonus. I paused about buying it because so often communication books leave me feeling that I have come away with little in new learnings. This book was worth the price. I recommend it to anyone who looking for a concise way to summarize key issues to your boss. Thank you for coming up with a book that adds value in the workplace.

5.0 out of 5 stars If your looking to make an impact..., January 15, 2007
This review is from: Tell It to the CEO: How to Write Compelling Executive Summaries and Briefings (Spiral-bound)
Read this book. I purchased it for my department, who routinely writes 80+ reports a quarter to all levels in the organization. Prior to using this text, our reports were 10+ pags each. This book helped us shape our nw reports to something more concise and meaningful.

Well worth the investment. Also would recommend it for new employees in an organization who are looking to learn how to "business write."

Imagine you have the knowledge ...
Imagine you have the outstanding experience ...
And imagine you have only two minutes to sell your idea.

It's really hard to keep to the point if you are full of date & assumptions. This book is all about how to structure thoughts to be quickly understandable and influence CEO's decicions.

Book is written in a comprehensive style with lots of examples and exercises. Worth its price, really!
