2.0 out of 5 stars Hero is a zero!
While this book is well-written, the "hero's" reaction to his wife's revelation left me disgusted. This man's continuous tirade bordered on verbal abuse. I understand that he was upset and angry, but his statments to his wife were waaaaay over the line. I just didn't buy that his wife would forgive him, ever, let alone by the end of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tell Me No Lies-Joyfully Recommended Read, August 20, 2006
This review is from: Tell Me No Lies (Harlequin Super Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Dan Logan's world is perfect. He's deeply in love with his wife Tessa, totally happy in his job as a District Attorney and the father of two beautiful girls. But, when Tessa's past comes back to haunt them, his life begins to fall apart. A man who has always prided himself on his reputation has a hard time handling the havoc that Tessa's past brings which causes him to react hurtfully to his wife.

Tessa Logan tried to tell Dan that she wasn't the sort of person he needed for his wife. He steamrolled over her objections and because Tessa loved him so much, she let him convince her that they should be together. And, she could never bring herself to tell him of the shameful past that she left behind. Now after more than 10 years that past has come back with a vengeance and Tessa's not sure that life will ever be the same.

Tell Me No Lies is definitely going to be added to my re-read list. From the first chapter, Kathryn Shay grabbed me. The emotional devastation that levels Tess's life explodes from the pages, as does the love that Tessa and Dan share. Kathryn Shay effortlessly combines secrets, love and forgiveness. Tell Me No Lies is a romance that won't disappoint.

5.0 out of 5 stars Could Not Put it Down!, October 17, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I could not put this book down! I had to find out what was going to happen with Dan and Tessa. The story kept building just as the lies did. I wanted her to tell him about her past life. But also, he put her down so bad that I thought that was the end of this marriage. Very good read--kept me away from my housework!

5.0 out of 5 stars No Lies, September 25, 2006
This review is from: Tell Me No Lies (Harlequin Super Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I absolutely loved this book!!! I started off really slow reading one chapter a day, but on a trip to New Mexico, I was able to read 10 chapters in 2 days. I was dedicated to this book because I really wanted to know the ending. There are alot of details and suspense throughout the whole book that kept me interested. I would and have recommended this book. Hope you enjoy it too and learn from it as well.

TELL ME NO LIES by Kathryn Shay
July 23, 2006

Amazon rating 4/5

"In Tell Me No Lies, the story is well written and kept me interested. However, the characters made me angry (and I'm sure this was the author's intent). It's about a married couple whose relationship seems doomed from the start, because the wife, Tessa Logan, is hiding a big secret. In fact, she hasn't told Dan much about her past life, and he has learned not to pry.

Tessa has telltale quirks - that in some ways should have given her away - such as being very nervous when driving a car. Dan explains this as having to do with the accident she was involved in as a teenager. He doesn't know much about the accident itself, and Tessa won't talk. It turns out that her secret is pretty big: she had been arrested, along with her then-boyfriend, Frankie Hamilton, after two people died while he was driving under the influence - they were also charged with possession of narcotics. Tessa is ashamed of her past, and has tried to forget it ever happened. She spent almost two years in jail and never saw Frankie again, cutting all ties with him.

Tessa and Dan have a seemingly great marriage and two lovely daughters. But things begin to happen that make Dan suspicious. Tessa, on the other hand, has always had a problem with his controlling ways and need for perfection. She tries to conform to Dan's compulsions, but when her sister Janey tells her that Frankie is out of prison, she is worried that he may seek her out. She is afraid that he will destroy everything good that she has in her life, including her marriage." -- complete review at BookLoons - M. Lofton

Here is yet another harlequin superromance that kept me glued to the pages and one of the few that I honestly wasn't sure who she would end up with. A terrible marriage to a man who is compulsive and controlling, I would definitely pegged them for a divorce by the end of the book. Recommended.
