Product Description

About the Artist

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Jim Taylor has been performing professionally since 1975. He has toured all over the United States and parts of Europe as a solo artist, with the Nashville-based Taylor & Stone Band, and with The Forest Hill Band - a five piece folk-rock group, whose current CD is called STEP ON IT. According to Music Review Quarterly: "Taylor writes perfectly melodic songs that carry themselves with pop-tinged folk dignity."

if you like songs that tell stories, this is the CD for you! the music is an interesting blend of folk, rock and bluegrass...without sounding like any of those. there's a good mix of fast and slow songs, several of which you'll find yourself humming at random moments! these aren't long ballads with lots of characters; but they all tell a story or imply one, letting you fill in some details from your own life and relationships. highly recommended!

This album is a fantastic example of American folk music. You can really tell that Jim put allot of himself into the music and the songs cover many moods and feelings, blue, upbeat, looking back, and wondering about the future. The album features some wonderful acoustic guitar, along with some nice flute, piano, and harmonica accompaniments. It's one of my favorites and I highly recommend it.
