Simply Put: A Gem, November 29, 2009
This review is from: Tell It to the Volcano (Audio CD)
I discovered the Miniature Tigers while at a small show in Richmond, with the headlining band Kevin Devine. This album is a stand-out all the way through. The best tracks are "tell it to the volcano" "dino damage" and "cannibal queen." Every time I play this CD in the background while hanging out with friends they always ask who it is, and that they really like them. I hope they come out with another album soon and it's as great as this one is.

Incredible. Originality at its best., May 18, 2009

I heard of this group from my sister who has the lucky opportunity to see indie bands at her local college. I am glad I didn't pass this one up.
To be honest, I wanted to take a deeper look at Miniature Tigers' music by conducting YouTube research. With the simple, jumpy witticism of "Cannibal Queen", I was hooked.
If I were to compare this band to more recent, popular alternative rock groups, Miniature Tigers might be on par with Weezer with a bit of trademark soulful love seen with Hellogoodbye.
Give it a try. Each song is unique and beautiful in its own right, and the album works harmoniously. It was an INSTANT favorite.
