Owning the album is the only way to begin appreciating the Vespers' artistry. This album repays careful repeated listenings, which will expose the skill and craftsmanship with which each song is filled. Such a young group, and with such a debut album! All the songs are composed by the sisters, which is impressive enough, but the performance result achieves such musicality, that this album is complete pleasure.

This is an AMAZING album. Please do yourself a favor and buy the whole thing! Not only do the lyrics have depth and creativity the songs are beautiful! Literally every song on this album is a stand out. Not only that but it is sure to please a wide range of musical tastes. The harmonies are beautiful and the instruments are varied. It truly is music at its best. This young foursome have really created a masterpiece. I truly hope their popularity grows. They certainly deserve it.

This debut album by 2 sisters and 2 brothers is an oasis of pure folk/rock/pop pleasantries. The 2 sisters voices create heavenly harmonies and the 2 brothers instrumentation creates an edge that complements the beautiful voices of the sisters. A variety of instruments are used throughout the album to create a baker's dozen of thoroughly enjoyable tunes.
Standout selections include Cottonfield, Happy Lessons, and the powerfully sad song entitled Eyes Wide Open. The group's unbridled emotion and joy shine through every cut. What a strong debut album from this very talented foursome!
