Excellent book! It is very well written. The authors explained the bible in a way that connected all of the things that I have been taught all my life and brought new meaning to it all. I now understand so much more and am able to connect and understand the signifigance of the different events I have learned in those stories. I would recommend this book to anyone!

This book was used as a textbook in one of my classes at my Private Liberal Arts Christian college. Very well written and understandable.

This book is a well-written, down-to-earth retelling of the Biblical narrative. It puts all the pieces together and enables the reader to understand the Bible on a broad scope. I learned and my congregation was blessed to study this material in a Sunday evening setting.

This book is a great introduction to the historical story presented in the Bible. For one interested in an overview of biblical events, TELLING GOD'S STORY is easier to read than HOW TO READ THE BIBLE BOOK BY BOOK by Gordon Fee & Douglas Stuart.

Finally a book that "Tells God's story" in lay terms that even a dummy like me can understand. Ideal for teachers and novice bible scholars. Now I will continue to study the bible with new insight. EXCELLENT BOOK

I had both authors as professors 10 years ago when I was in college, and find all of their work to be excellent. I'm glad to have their summary of the Bible all in one place and bound together, as it's much more legible than my class notes.

This book is really good at following the overarching theme of God's story as recorded in the Holy Bible. It does a great job of connecting key points. Its purpose is to summarize God's story so the authors very purposefully brush over some things that are in great detail in the books of the Bible. It does a great job of helping Christ followers to see the big picture and not get lost in the details.
