4.0 out of 5 stars Enriching Your Life Through Storytelling, September 6, 2003
Bruchac's passion for storytelling reverberates through this guide aimed primarily at young people. Bruchac organizes his book around a "circle of learning" that he deems integral to life. The four components of his circle are listening, observing, remembering, and sharing. He includes activities to help people nurture each of these skills and includes fourteen stories, more than half of them from the Native American tradition. Bruchac, whose voice quietly exudes wisdom, emphasizes the importance of knowing stories from one's own family, heritage, locale, and life.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Written for the teen-age audience this will also be rewarding for the adult wishing to expand their horizons. Includes personal perspectives and stories from the author and wide range of exercises for the reader to perform. Many were exercises that I have done in the past (at age 45, I've done a few things) but many were very rewarding experiences.
