Beautiful,

Not to be one of those people that spouts benedictions about this book from everywhere, but this is a truly amazing book. The artwork, and especially the coloring is stunning. The story is nicely paced with action and suspense, along with ammusing little plot twists thrown in. Seeing as this is only the first half of the entire TELLOS run, it'll make you want to run out and buy the next one to see the end of the saga. Its fantasy elements make the strangest things possible and believable. This is the kind of story telling that I've ever read comics for.

Great comic,

This is a great comic. I stumbled over it when I was searching my local comic bookstore, since I was pretty dissatisfied with the irregularity with which Battle Chasers was released. The cover really appealed to me, being a fantasy fan, so I took it home and read it and immediately I loved it and I went back to the store to get all the other parts. The drawing are good and the inking is AWESOME. The story is maybe not so complex but it sure is a fun read. I know many people comment on this comic as it being too simple but that's only a strong point, since there are already so much 'heavy' comics out there (by the way, it's not THAT simple). Along with Bone and Battle Chasers the best comic ever.

Simply one of the coolest most inventive fantasy series of recent years If not of all time. This is why we all started to read comics. Check it out. Make sure you pick up a copy of volume 2 as well. It doesn't get any better than this.

A Healthy Alternative,

This comic is an excellent to any collection. The story is fun and imaginative and the artwork is amazing. I cannot help but be astounded by the vibrant colors that are used in this book. Anyone that wants to read a fun comic about bipedal animals with swords and magic (without the busty "babes") should really check out this TPB.

A young bloke has a destiny to be a hero type, complete with tiger warrior companion and babe pirate type to look after his amulet of power.
Throw in a turtle wizard, an evil dark lord kid, some opposition bad guy warrior types, and some hilarious frog soldiers, and you have a aimed at the young audience fantasy adventure that isn't too bad. Even has dragons, griffins and frog shadow ninja. |
