Luckily the light does not affect the water flow at all and it is still small and not an eyesore on the faucet.

I purchased two of these, one for myself and one for my parents. They are very neat and work great for about 6 to 12 months. The one I use does not always light up anymore and the one my parents have stopped working altogether. After taking them apart I noticed a condsiderable amount of rust on the contacts inside. I scraped some of the rust off and got 1 of the 2 back in perfect working order. The other one no longer will light up red in hot water, only stays blue. With how it's rusting I'm sure they will stop working again soon. It's not too expensive and I could buy new ones...just be aware that these are not built to last like the faucet you are screwing it onto. They are good for a year or less as a neat toy and a conversation piece at parties. Luckily the light does not affect the water flow at all and it is still small and not an eyesore on the faucet.

We installed this in our guest 1/2 bath downstairs. It's fun to hear the astonishment of guests behind closed doors as the sink lights up with blue and red lit water. What's even more interesting is when the guest says nothing. If they're young enough we tell them to go back and wash their hands, if older, we just don't offer to shake their hands.

it's a pretty neat little kitchen add on, but the only thing i want to point out is that it does change the actual pressure of your water flow. we used to have a connection that 'gushed' the water out and now with this attachment, it's more of a 'flow.'

not a biggie though, you can always add a finer 'mesh' attachment and get it back to how it was ;)

great for kids who aren't careful enough about putting their hands in water!

This is great fun and worked well at first. After less than two weeks, however, the light wouldn't go off even after I turned the faucet off. Then it wouldn't go on. When we took it off to investigate, the insides were all corroded and a brown liquid was leaking out. Too bad because this is such a fun thing in theory!

It was pretty cool for about a week. Then the LED started to stay on after shutting the water off. I disassembled it and discovered that water had gotten inside the electronics housing somehow. I dried it out well and took care to tighten the O-ring seal hand tight - not too much, not too little. Just enough to compress the O-ring. I worked again for about another week. Today I disassembled it and saw that the electronics capsule had gotten flooded again. I used tweezers to pull the little circuit board out. The leads from the LED were all corroded across. I tried cleaning them as best I could and replacing the batteries with fresh ones, but it doesn't light.

I have a feeling the seal problem results from hot water expanding the air inside the electronics capsule, then cold water causing a partial vacuum, which slowly draws water around the O-ring seal.

Anyway, I don't recommend this product to anyone. It's a waste of money and time.

I bought this for my nephew, age 5, for his weekend visit. We hooked it up turned on the water. The light, barely visible, did change colors. But you had to get down in the sink to see it. We turned off the bathroom light and the water did turn blue (cold) then red (hot)but in complete darkness. The novelty
wore off in about 60 seconds while the water ran down the drain. So the lights went back on and the water turned off but the Faucet Light stayed on all night until the batteries drained. Would I buy another one? NO! Would I recommend it to a friend? NO! Would I recommend it to you? NO!

our purchse was prompted by a fun and novel toy. however, each set of batteries had quite a short life and were easily rusted. the strength of the lite, before battery loss, was dependent on the water pressure. what began as an entertaining novelty, soon became another item on the waste of money list.
