A Passion Storm is Brewing...,
By Malaika Tamu "Sweet n' Sassy" (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Temperatures Rising (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Classic Brenda Jackson...man meets woman...man wants woman...woman fights her attraction...until she can't resist anymore...they agree to a one-night-stand ONLY...and after that one INCREDIBLE night they both discover that one-night will NEVER be enough...woman doesn't want to admit that she's fallen in love with the man, at least not out loud...and man is DETERMINED to convince her he has fallen in love with her, despite his reputation...he discovers that he wants more from her and intends to use EVERYTHING in his "playbook" to show her that they belong together...and while locked together at the radio station...while Hurricane Ana is raging outside...he does exactly that...but will the secret that she uncovers about the man of her dreams tear them apart?!!!~~~~~~~Read it...see what's brewing with Sherri Griffin and Terrence "Holy Terror" Jefferies...Terrence is sexy-as-all-get-out...and he knows how to "handle" Sherri...first he turns on the charm and plays Mr. Nice Guy...but when that doesn't work...he pulls out all the stops and puts his arrogant "Bad Boy" persona to work...what girl can resist a "bad-boy"...especially one with such AMAZING "talents"...looking forward to reading the rest of this Mother Nature Matchmaker miniseries...and of course I can hardly wait to see what Mrs. Jackson has in store for Duan Jefferies!

I think Mrs.Jackson did an excellent job on writing Temperatures Rising. I can not wait to see or hear what she is going to do with Duan Jeffries. I enjoy her family saga. Keep up the good work.

No this was not the Madaris, Hardcastle, Steele, Westmoreland, or Bennett Families series, but nonetheless Terrence Jeffries will definitely make your temperature rise...he is GORGEOUS, SEXY and ARROGANT.....never planning on giving a woman his heart he sets out to have Sherri Griffin...For one night only Sherri agrees but Mother Nature and Terrence has something else in mind. Can't wait to read the rest of the miniseries and to see what she has planned for Duan Jefferies!

Brenda Jackson brings us another one!,
This review is from: Temperatures Rising (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Terrance "Holy Terror" Jeffries never let obstacles on or off the field get to him. That is until he meets Sherri Griffin, radio producer of the station he does a sports show on twice a week. Terrance is an ex-NFL star that owns an upscale restaurant on the beach of the Florida Keys. He is drop dead gorgeous and very arrogant. He is a carefree bachelor and he plans on staying that way. Sherri has just moved to Florida to start getting groomed to take over her uncle's radio station when he retires. Sherri does not have time for a relationship because it takes time to cultivate a solid relationship. This is time she doesn't have, and time is what cost her a previous relationship. Terrance happens to feel differently about how she spends her time. He has decided that he wants Sherri and is willing to do whatever it takes to get her. During his pursuit, Terrance and Sherri both find that their previous thoughts about love and relationships may need to be altered.
Temperatures Rising is a well written story. It flows well which makes for an easy read. Jackson always does a wonderful job with the development of her characters and plots. She also does a great job developing her secondary characters. Temperatures Rising is the first book in the Mother Nature Matchmaker series. Jackson does a wonderful job introducing the series. Brenda Jackson has launched the Mother Nature Matchmaker with a tempting couple who are both stubborn but also passionate about their desires in life.
Sherri Griffin is a successful radio producer looking to take over her uncle radio station when the time arrives but after being jolted in a relationship, Sherri has sworn off men temporarily but have also sworn off men who have no promise for the future or no promise of commitment. Terrance Jefferies aka Holy Terror on the football team has been known to be a stubborn person who always got what he wanted no matter what and it just so happens Terrance wants Sherri and she's throwing up blocks left and right because she's not willing to get her feelings hurt again. Terrance is not willing to stop pursing her until he figures out why he has this desire to be with her. When a hurricane leaves the two of them stuck at the radio station together holding down the weather reports and other important aspects that come with working in the media the two find their selves tasting the limits of keeping their hands to their selves. Sherri finds out some rather interesting information about Terrance that sets her off again and Terrance can do nothing but force his way back into her heart. Brenda has produced apiece based off one of the most deadly storms that can hit the south and has turned it into a passionate climax of two people falling in love.

I just want something different from Brenda,
This review is from: Temperatures Rising (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I did not like this book, it was so predictable. It did not hold my interest and I found myself skipping pages.
I absolutely love all the older books written by Brenda Jackson but I have been disappointed by her newer books. I don't know what the problem is but I will not give up on her yet. |
