4.0 out of 5 stars A good album with some songs you won't find elsewhere
The strong point of this album is that it has three songs from Loverboy's third album - "Keep It Up" - which is currently out of print. These songs (Queen of the Broken Hearts, Strike Zone, and It's Never Easy) are among my favorite Loverboy songs. They are great songs. You can't easily find them unless you are able to get a used copy of "Keep It Up."...

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth a listen.
I've been listening to Loverboy for many years. This collection of songs from their various albums is pretty good and listenable. There is a total of ten tracks. I do find the song selection of Temperature's Rising to be sort of odd--it's not a real thorough overview, either. Some of their most popular songs are missing from this disc: "Turn Me Loose,"...

I've been listening to Loverboy for many years. This collection of songs from their various albums is pretty good and listenable. There is a total of ten tracks. I do find the song selection of Temperature's Rising to be sort of odd--it's not a real thorough overview, either. Some of their most popular songs are missing from this disc: "Turn Me Loose," "Take Me to the Top," "Hot Girls in Love," and "Lovin' Every Minute of It" are a few examples. I don't consider this aspect to be bad--just a little strange. Some of Loverboy's lesser known tracks are included instead of their more well-known ones. The tunes all come from Loverboy's first four albums. Nothing is included from their fifth album Wildside. I do think that what's on here is mostly good. Some of the ones that I like are "When It's Over," "This Could Be the Night," and "It's Never Easy." I'm surprised that "Emotional," "Teenage Overdose," and "Too Much Too Soon" were included--they're just okay songs. This album still isn't a bad place to begin for someone interested in Loverboy--it just has an odd track selection and isn't very comprehensive. There are some cool songs throughout. Temperature's Rising doesn't contain any liner notes about the band. Worth a listen.
