My kids are big fans of this app on my phone, so when I saw this I knew that our family would have to try it. The game itself does a great job at trying to incorporate the same concepts into the game itself. The game is fast paced and you have to stay alert or you will fall victim to the creatures that follow close on your heels. The game was fun and engaging and my daughters really enjoyed the game (and I did too). If you are a fan of fast paced games, or you are a fan of simply this app, you will love to have this game in your own home!

Temple Run on the iPad is so much fun, you might be lured into thinking this is some of real world alternative that helps kids get away from the electronic screen. The rules are a bit complicated. A twist is that you get to keep rolling dice to get a better combination, but not before the time runs out. The game board, a twisty path like on the video game, has places so small, that a regular game piece covers 3 of them. So, it is hard to see where you are, as well as if anyone is close by. Then, there is an enormous devil monkey piece that covers 5 or more. You are supposed to avoid the devil monkey, but you cannot tell where he actually is.

This is the classic try and be opportunistic to squeeze money out of a video franchise and fail because of poor implementation.

Got this as a Christmas present for my 9yr old son and he is constantly wanting to play it, make sure you read the instructions well because it can be a little complicated to begin.

This was a gift for an 11 yr old boy - he really liked it and had fun playing it with other kids aged 8 to 11. They all liked the sound effects.

We found this on sale for around $8.00 and thought we'd give it a try since our kids really like the temple run app.

For what we payed, it's a good game worth owning. We've played as a family a couple of times, and had fun (my 7 year old son especially enjoyed it). Someone else commented that it takes longer to read the directions than it does to play a game, and that is true, but it is pretty easy to understand and figure out. The dice rolling aspect reminded us very slightly of zombie dice in that you can re-roll any dice except monkey heads, until you have what you want, although you are somewhat limited by a timer.

I honestly think my son enjoys the idea of having a physical temple run layout more than playing the game, and he uses it as a playset as much as a game.

I don't think the game is worth the retail price, but if you can find it cheaper, it's worth picking up.

I was a bit confused by this game and how to play it at first. My 8 yr old son had to have this but once we bought it we only played with it twice and that's it. I did enjoy playing with my son and binding with him over the game.
