More About the Author

W. Brondt Kamffer is South African by birth and a US immigrant (along with the rest of his family). He now resides in southern California where he lectures English composition at the California State University of Long Beach.

He became a writer only after he became an avid reader during his senior year of high school, right after he saw The Fellowship of the Ring film. That was his first encounter with fantasy, and he has been hooked ever since. Aside from a period of about two years when he focused on writing historical fiction, he has never wanted to write anything else. Even the poetry he wrote in creative writing classes as an undergrad was heavily influenced by his fantasy reading.

Eidylon: Birth of an Empire (Serial Novel, Episode 3) deals with a simple matter. A god must have a temple, a place of worship, a place of gathering for His followers, and perhaps a more sinister purpose. . . Episode 3 of this dark fantasy tackles the issue of how a temple is raised in Ataharibu's honor. Yet, the matter is not as simple, as his followers are skeptical of the need, and how best to accomplish it.

The author spins another excellent tale in this unique epic fantasy series, as he finds the appropriate puppets to accomplish the Dark God's desire, and to further enhance Eidylon's status as a city above all others.

Although the series has had difficulty attracting readership, I, for one, am impressed by the high quality of the writing, and the author's unique vision in spinning this interesting epic saga. Fantasy readers tired of the same old fantasy story should give this series a try!
