5.0 out of 5 stars A Wedding Ball, August 14, 2003
By A Customer
Wynne Sommers needs a husband to secure her inheritance. So she goes to the Cindrella Ball that was designed to marry people off in one evening. She gets Jake Hondo, who also needs a wife to secure his inheritance, a ranch. It's only after they're married that the moody rancher discovers what Wynne's inheritance is. Two little boys determined to call him dad.
This was a wonderful and humorous story. I especially enjoyed the scene where Wynne has to go to town and the only thing available to drive is a stick shift when Wynne only knows how to drive an automatic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love's Healing Touch, April 4, 2009
By
Oh my...I laughed until my sides hurt. This is the first of the Fairytale weddings series. I hope the others are as good.
I think Ms Leclaire is one of my favorite writers, she takes a sweet, trusting Wynne Sommers and matches her with the mean Jake Hondo.
She can see Jake as her knight in shinning armor, even though everyone else tells her Jake is bad news, she loves everything about him.
Both of them need to marry in order to inherit, Jake a ranch, Wynne her two nephews.
You'll love the twists and turns of this sexy but sweet funny book. I don't usually like books with sex in them, because it tends to drop the story and just focus on sex, but this book is different, although the sex scenes are...wow, Ms Leclaire never loses the story line. Jake doesn't even know he is deathlessly in love with Wynne, but we do, just from the tender way he introduces her to physical love, is a dead give away. It just takes the stubborn cowboy longer to come to the truth of what his life would be like without this tiny woman who holds his heart in the palm of her little hand.
From the back of the book: 'Wynne Sommers was invited to a wedding-her own!
The inspiration behind the Cinderella Ball was simple-come single, leave wed.
By midnight perfect strangers could find themselves married...as if by magic!
Wynne Sommers needed a husband to secure her inheritance. She got Jake Hondo!
He was a mean, moody rancher who needed to get married, on paper at least. Wynne wasn't his idea of a temporary wife. She was a hopeless romantic whereas Jake had his cowboy boots firmly planted in Texas soil!
But he couldn't let her marry just anybody...
Unfortunately, it was only after they'd wed that Jake discovered Wynne's inheritance wasn't money or land-but two little boys determined to call him Dad!'
